NJ Roofing Company recently completed a major roofing work in Jersey City. The project involved replacing the existing flat roof membrane and addressing underlying structural issues.

Upon removal of the old roofing material, our technicians discovered multiple areas of rotten plywood and framing rafters. These damaged components were carefully replaced without compromising the roof's pitch or structural integrity. A new insulation board was installed over the wood decking, providing enhanced insulation and protection.

A top-quality Johns Manville Appex 4S Modified Bitumen Torch Down system was then installed, along with new commercial-grade metal edging. To complete the project, a new double acrylic dome Velux skylight was installed, replacing the existing skylight.

Roof4Roof recently completed a major roofing and exterior restoration project in Clifton. The project involved a complete roof replacement, including shingle removal and installation of a new GAF Timberline HDZ Barkwood Lifetime shingle roof system. Additionally, our team replaced all rotten plywood sheathing to ensure a solid foundation for the new roof. To enhance the home's exterior, new Alside aluminum brown soffit and fascia were installed, and 6-inch aluminum gutters and downspouts were added to improve drainage and protect the foundation.

On this large 18,000 sq foot building, 2 of our top crews from Roof4Roof tackled this project. We removed all existing river stones and walkway paver from one side of the roof to the other side of the building. We then removed all of the insulation board and placed that on the other side of the roof. All of the insulation was then precisely cut to allow water to flow underneath when put back in place. The roof underneath the insulation and rocks was power-washed 6 times to remove decades of debris and grime! Then we coated the roof twice with a premium GAF acrylic coating. A new plastic barrier was applied after the roof had time to cure, grooved insulation was put back in place, then a debris blocker was applied over the insulation to filter out any debris and finally, the river stones and pavers were reinstalled. The same process was repeated on the other side. This took lots of coordinating and manpower to ensure a smooth execution from start to finish.

Glenn and his team removed all existing shingles, skylights, and gutters to prepare the roof for a complete overhaul. After a thorough inspection of the plywood, we installed a top-tier GAF Lifetime shingle roof system, complete with a new VELUX deck mount skylight for enhanced natural lighting. To address a longstanding issue, we also replaced the leaking chimney cap.
