Pro Commercial Cleaning recently completed a comprehensive chimney restoration project in Saddle River, NJ. The project involved a thorough power washing to remove years of dirt and grime, followed by meticulous repairs to damaged mortar joints and bricks. The NJ roofing company team was dispatched to investigate multiple leaks originating from large curb boxes with numerous pipe vents. It was discovered that the leaks were caused by aged and degrading sealant around the pipe penetrations.

To address the issue, a high-performance Roof eXtender silicone coating was applied to the affected areas. This durable and flexible sealant was carefully applied to seal the gaps around the pipe vents, preventing water infiltration and ensuring the long-term integrity of the roof. To improve the roof's longevity and waterproofness, a double coating of GE silicone butter was applied to all penetrations and seams. This high-performance sealant creates a strong barrier against water infiltration, preventing leaks and safeguarding the building's interior.

The final step involved the application of a GE Enduris Coating system to the entire roof. This advanced coating system creates a protective layer that guards the roof from UV rays, extreme weather, and other environmental factors. The coating also contributes to the TPO membrane's long-term viability and optimal performance.

This project involved the removal of an existing damaged roof, structural repairs, and the installation of a new, high-performance roofing system.

The initial phase of the project required the total removal of all existing shingles. A thorough assessment of the roof deck found extensive damage, including rotting plywood and 2x6 rafters, which were the primary source of the leaks in the back of the house. The damaged components were removed and replaced with new, high-quality materials to ensure the roof's structural integrity.

After the repairs were completed, a new GAF Timberline Pewter Gray shingle roof system was installed. This premium shingle system is well-known for its durability. To improve attic airflow and avoid ice dam development, a GAF Snow Country ridge vent was installed, coupled with GAF cover-A-Ridge caps to cover the vent and give further protection against water infiltration.
