About Us

New Jersey's Most Trusted Exteior Company since 1990.

Need more than just a roofing contractor? Roof4Roof and NJ Roofing Company are North Jersey’s premier authority for industrial, commercial, and high-end residential building envelopes. With over 35 years of experience and 25 million square feet of roofing restored, we don’t just fix leaks—we solve the structural vulnerabilities that threaten your property’s value.

Beyond the Roofline: A roof is only as good as the system supporting it. We provide a full suite of exterior solutions designed to stop moisture infiltration at every entry point. This includes precision masonry and parapet wall repair, custom architectural metal work, and high-efficiency Window Depot NJ replacement systems. We also specialize in insulated siding installations and heavy-duty water management (seamless gutters and commercial-grade leaf guards) to prevent foundation erosion and basement flooding.

  • Commercial & Industrial: Stop losing revenue to recurring leaks and disruptive "tear-offs." Our Repair & Renew Advantage saves property owners 70-80% over traditional replacement. We provide rapid-response emergency repairs and expert installation of EPDM, TPO, PVC, and Modified Bitumen, backed by 40-year warranties.
  • Residential: Eliminate "attic baking" and ice damming. We go deep into attic ventilation and insulation diagnostics to stop your roof from rotting from the inside out—a detail most "cheap" contractors ignore.
  • The NJ Climate Factor: Our systems are engineered specifically for the North Jersey "freeze-thaw" cycle, protecting your brickwork and shingles from the thermal shock that causes cracking and premature failure.

Serving Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties, we combine industrial-grade durability with a philanthropic mission: every project with us helps provide roofing for families in need through our "Roofing with a Purpose" program.

Honest budgets. Zero hidden fees. Minimal disruption. Contact us today for a free forensic estimate on your roof, windows, siding, or masonry project.

Met with Joe from Roof 4 Roof for a home roof inspection. Joe was very professional and friendly. Joe was thorough and detailed during the roof inspection. He explained that the roof was a combination of shingled and flat roofs. Complete, comprehensive and in-depth roof inspection report with photos was provided. Definitely, would go with Roof 4 Roof on any roof and outer elements of the house. Excellent!

Mrs. Djakov, Joe Arminio here! Thank you so much for the detailed review and the high recommendation. It was an absolute pleasure meeting with you to conduct the roof inspection for the property over in Bayonne, NJ. At Roof4Roof, our strategy is always to examine the entire property rather than just glancing at what is visible from the driveway. As you 've mentioned, that specific property featured a combination of an architectural shingle roof and a flat roof system, that's why diagnosing the transitions, flashing, and integration points was critical to protecting the whole structure. Providing a highly detailed inspection report is our standard baseline for ensuring full property protection and complete buyer education before any commitments are made. Elizabeth, while I know the situation shifted with this house and that specific purchase isn't moving forward, I am incredibly grateful for your trust in our diagnostic process. We are wishing you a smooth, stress-free closing on the new property you are currently acquiring! Once your closing is finalized and you are moved in, we stand ready to serve as your dedicated exterior diagnostic contractor to check the roof, gutters, siding, or any outer elements of your new home. For anyone in New Jersey currently navigating a real estate closing this season, always ensure your inspection reports clearly differentiate how your main roof transitions into secondary zones like a flat roof, a chimney, or a lower gutter line. Water entry most frequently occurs at these mixed-material junctions. Having a documented inspection with clear photo evidence before you close gives you the precise leverage and clarity you need to secure your investment.

Redid my main roof and garage with new gutters in Woodridge and would use them again no questions asked. The pricing was fair, workers on time, completed the full scope in 1 day, and no mess left behind. Not sure what else you can ask for.

Kevin, Joe Arminio here! I really appreciate the shout-out. Getting both the main roof and the garage roof knocked out in a single day—with a full seamless gutter installation to boot—is exactly how we like to roll. I’m glad you felt the pricing was fair and the cleanup was spotless! Now that we’ve got your drainage system squared away, keep an eye on the "oak tassels" and spring pollen that tend to carpet Wood-Ridge this time of year. Even with brand-new gutters, that heavy spring debris can sometimes gather around the downspout openings. A quick look-see from the ground to ensure water is still discharging at least five feet away from your foundation will keep your basement bone-dry during the heavy storms we have headed our way. Since we did such a clean job on the garage, consider emailing me in the near future at joe@roof4roof.com if you'd like me to give you a quick estimate on some modern siding accents to really complete that exterior transformation. Also consider that beyond the roof, many homeowners in your area are currently upgrading to energy-efficient window replacements and insulated systems to keep those July cooling costs down. Kevin, thanks again to trust your roof and exterior property to Roof4Roof!

We had a complete replacement of our roof and gutters. The work was done quickly and efficiently. Everything was cleaned up so well, it was like they weren’t even here! Such a great experience from the beginning to the end!

Hello Mrs. Barbosa, John Walters here! Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm happy to read that you had a great experience from start to finish. My crew takes a lot of pride in that "invisible" cleanup—we believe the only sign we were ever there should be your beautiful new roof and gutters! As you might notice, we are heading straight into the season of heavy spring thunderstorms and high pollen. It’s the perfect time to keep those brand-new gutters in place. My quick "New Jersey May" tip: keep an eye on your downspout exits over the next few weeks. With the trees budding and "oak tassels" falling, you’ll want to make sure the discharge areas stay clear so that heavy rain continues to flow far away from your foundation. Mrs. Barbosa, email me directly at john@roof4roof.com if you'd like me to put you on my calendar for a quick "1-year gutter tune-up" next spring just to make sure everything settled perfectly after the winter. Thanks again for trusting your roof and gutters to Roof4Roof.

Stephen, Joe Arminio, Roof4Roof's Multi-family and condo consultant, here! I really appreciate you taking the time to highlight our recent work at the condo complex in Clifton, NJ. It was a total pleasure working with you, and I’m thrilled you noticed the Roof4Roof difference in the top-of-the-line shingles we used and how meticulous my crew is about keeping the site clean. We know that in a busy condo community, professionalism and a tidy work area are just as important as the roof installation itself. Since we are now in the heart of April, we are officially in the middle of the "April Showers" season here in New Jersey. It is the absolute best time to have a new, high-quality roofing system, gutters, chimneys and fresh repointing to keep those heavy spring rains from finding their way inside. I'm glad we could get that building squared away before the peak of the spring storm season hits! Beyond roofing and masonry, keep us in mind if the complex or any of the individual owners are looking to boost their curb appeal this spring. We specialize in premium siding, energy-efficient window replacements, and custom doors that can really transform the look of a property while lowering those summer cooling costs that are just around the corner. As you might notice, we are seeing a lot of heavy, wind-driven rain across Clifton and the surrounding areas. My best advice right now is to take a quick walk around the building perimeter during the next downpour. If you see water "sheeting" over the edge of the gutters or notice "pitting" in the mulch near the foundation, it’s a clear sign that the gutter system is overwhelmed or blocked. Catching these drainage issues now is the best way to prevent basement dampness and foundation shifts before the ground fully saturates this spring.

Good afternoon! Chuck Anania here, and I have to thank you, your comment hit home for me. In this business, our reputation is everything, and my work with Roof4Roof and Window Depot NJ means more to me than any sales award ever could. We treat every New Jersey home and business like it’s our own, and I am so glad that personal touch came across during your experience with us. Whether we are doing a full window replacement or a quick repair, our goal is to provide a level of transparency and honesty that you just don't find much anymore. It’s about more than just glass and frames, roofing, siding or any other exterior job; it’s about the peace of mind that comes from knowing the job was done right by people who actually care about the neighborhood. Since it is March, spring has sprung, which means it is the perfect time to give your windows a little luck by checking your screens and tracks. The heavy March winds we have been having across NJ can sometimes loosen screen clips or blow winter grit into your window tracks. A quick check today ensures that when those first warm days hit and you want to open the house up. If you notice any resistance when sliding the window, a simple wipe-down of the track with a dry cloth is usually all it takes to get things back to that "like-new" operation. For any other building exterior need besides window you might have in mind, such as roofing, gutters, trim, siding, soffit or fascia. Call me right away again! – Chuck

Frequently Asked Questions

Our estimates reflect a total system engineering approach rather than a "bandage repair." While we may not be the lowest bidder, we are the most cost-effective over the life of your building by eliminating recurring leaks and maximizing manufacturer warranties. Most roofing contractors only address the symptom (the leak). We diagnose the root cause—whether it’s poor ventilation, compromised flashing, or structural "thermal bridges." We are a Select ShingleMaster™ (top 1% of roofers) and a Johns Manville Peak Advantage® Contractor, which means we can offer exclusive 25-year labor and 50-year material warranties that non-certified roofers simply cannot access. You aren't just paying for a roof; you are paying for the legal guarantee that you won't have to pay for it again.

A roof is only one part of your building’s "envelope." We treat your home or facility as a single integrated system where the roof, windows, siding, and gutters must work in harmony to prevent moisture damage. If you install a new roof but have failing window seals or "drafty" siding, your energy bills will remain high and your new roof could suffer from attic moisture. We specialize in total exterior solutions—from triple-pane high-efficiency windows (Window Depot NJ) to insulated fiber cement siding and custom water management. By managing the entire exterior, we ensure that no component "fights" the other, providing a seamless, waterproof seal for your entire property.

Our "Roofing with a Purpose" model means our success is tied to our impact. We don't cut corners because every project we complete fuels our ability to provide critical repairs for families in need. We are a for-profit, for-progress company. When you choose us, you aren't just getting a premium exterior; you are becoming a partner in a mission that has provided shelter and safety to thousands. This philosophy attracts the highest-level craftsmen who take immense pride in their work. Our 5.0 Google rating and 20,000+ satisfied clients are a direct result of a team that knows their work matters for more than just a paycheck.

NJ faces a unique "freeze-thaw" cycle and high humidity that can destroy inferior materials in under a decade. We only use products engineered for the Northeast corridor. Cheap materials crack during the sudden 40-degree temperature swings common in Bergen and Essex counties. We use Johns Manville and GAF systems that are "thermal-shock" resistant. Furthermore, we include Radiant Barrier and Insulation upgrades in our projects to combat the humid NJ summers. This keeps your attic 30 degrees cooler, protecting your roof deck from "baking" from the inside out—a detail most cheap contractors ignore.

Hiring a non-certified contractor in New Jersey transforms a "savings" project into a massive financial and legal liability. Beyond poor craftsmanship, you risk the total voiding of manufacturer warranties, personal liability for worker injuries, and significant legal hurdles during property resale due to building code violations and unpermitted work. Hiring a contractor who lacks elite certifications (like our Johns Manville Peak Advantage® or GAF Master Elite® status) subjects you to the following critical risks: The "Warranty Death" Trap: Manufacturers like Johns Manville and GAF have strict "Catch-22" clauses. If a non-certified roofer performs even a minor repair or a new installation, the manufacturer’s warranty is often voided immediately. You are left with only a "tailgate warranty," which disappears the moment the contractor’s phone goes out of service. NJ Consumer Fraud & Resale Liability: In New Jersey, failing to disclose unpermitted work or building code violations (such as the illegal "third layer" of shingles) can lead to triple-damage lawsuits under the NJ Consumer Fraud Act. When you sell your property, a home inspector will flag these issues, often forcing you to pay for a total replacement out of pocket to close the deal. The "Employer of Record" Liability: If a "cheap" contractor lacks Workers’ Compensation insurance and a worker is injured on your roof, NJ law can designate you, the property owner, as the employer. This leaves you personally responsible for medical bills and lost wages—claims that standard homeowner’s insurance policies often deny for unlicensed work. Systemic Engineering Failure: Non-certified roofers focus on the "visible" shingles but ignore the building envelope science. In NJ’s high-humidity climate, improper attic ventilation calculations lead to "internal baking." This causes the plywood deck to rot from the inside out, turning a "new" roof into a structural failure within five years. Code Violations (The Two-Layer Law): Many uncertified crews suggest an "overlay" to underbid competitors. NJ code strictly limits roofs to two layers. A third layer creates a "Heat Trap" that cuts shingle life by 50% and adds thousands of pounds of structural stress, risking a roof collapse during heavy NJ snowfalls. The Roof4Roof Difference: We aren't just "installers"; we are certified building envelope specialists. When you choose us, you aren't paying for a "bandage"—you are investing in a permitted, legally compliant, and manufacturer-guaranteed system that protects your property’s resale value and your personal peace of mind. Every project also fuels our Social Mission, providing shelter for families in need locally and globally.

Yes. By utilizing advanced liquid-applied membranes and restoration coatings, we can revitalize your existing commercial roof for pennies on the dollar compared to a traditional tear-off and replacement. A full tear-off in New Jersey is expensive due to massive landfill fees and labor. Our Repair & Renew system avoids those costs entirely. We reinforce your current TPO, EPDM, or Metal roof with a high-performance coating that is non-disruptive to your business, tax-deductible as a maintenance expense, and energy-efficient. It reflects up to 85% of UV rays, significantly lowering your summer cooling bills while extending your roof’s life by 10 to 20 years.

Yes. Triple-pane glass provides a significant thermal break that is essential for NJ winters, often paying for itself in energy savings within 5–7 years. Detailed Info (SEO): Window Depot NJ specializes in high-efficiency windows that cut down on the "drafty house" feel common in older Essex and Hudson county homes. Beyond energy, they provide superior sound dampening—a huge plus for homes near high-traffic NJ corridors.

Yes. Most NJ municipalities (like Jersey City, Montclair, or Bloomfield) require a building permit for roofing and structural exterior work. Detailed Info (SEO): As a fully licensed and insured New Jersey Roofing Company, we handle the entire permitting process for you. This ensures your project meets local sub-code requirements and protects your property value during future inspections.

On average, a NJ roof replacement ranges from $8,000 to $25,000 for residential and significantly higher for commercial, but our Repair & Renew program can reduce these costs by 70–80%. NJ costs are higher due to labor rates and disposal fees. However, by restoring your existing commercial flat roof (TPO/EPDM) instead of a full tear-off, you avoid high debris costs and land a 20-year warranty for a fraction of the price.
