We were hit with the hail storm in April and it knocked chunks out of our shingles. Before that, we knew we’d have to replace the roof in a few years, but had been trying to prolong the inevitable because we knew there was 2-3 layers of shingles on the roof, we got a lot of ice dams without heat tape, and we’ve found a lot of hidden water damage from previous owners while we’ve done other repairs…so we knew this was going to be a big job and not cheap!
