Good morning Jill, Thank you for your feedback. In today’s business climate on line reviews are vital for clients to determine who they want to do business with. You may be different, but in my own personal life I’ve been asked for 5 star reviews, said yes, then gotten busy and forgotten. That’s a guy that knows how important they are having been in this business my entire life. With that said we do ask that our project managers ask after the job once they determine the client has had a great experience. It sounds very much like you did have a 5 star experience until you were asked twice for a review. Our sales reps are required to close the loop with each client after the job, not to get a review, but to confirm that everything went to the client satisfaction and to address any questions or concerns that may come up, if they get to the end of that call and all is good they are instructed to ask for a review. I’m not sure if you have heard this old saying but it’s one that has guided our philosophy on asking for reviews, which is that “a happy client will tell 1 person, an unhappy client will tell 10”. I didn’t come up with that, business people generations before me came up with that bases on real world experiences. No ones job at ARS depends on 5 star reviews, however, client feedback is one of many grading factors….reviews are a great way to see client feedback. As far as the photo goes, we have a lot of really excited clients and they may choose to take a photo after the job, it’s great for sharing on social media, and a sign of the importance we put on client satisfaction. After all we are a very client centric organization, so we want to share happy client experiences with potential clients in the future. Reviews and happy client photos do not happen organically that often, guiding our team to ask for them is part of showing the general public what we are about. If you felt pressured I apologize, and I’ll review the wording my team is using. Also to be clear we are a family owned business. I’m the 2nd generation of ARS. My younger brother works here, as do my parents, my sales director has family here, and my marketing manager has family here, and most the people who work here are friends or acquaintances of someone else who works here. It’s the closest thing to a genuine family business that I’ve ever seen. What does that mean for you and other clients, well it means someone who’s name is synonymous with the name Accent Roofing Service looks at every situation through the lense of how we can make sure that each client gets the best contractor experience they have ever had, and when they don’t you can bet that the founder of this company, and myself will be sitting around the dinner table or talking after hours to figure out what we need to do to make it right.
