Hey Jeff! We love leaks that are hard to fix because they separate the pack! Now that you’re past the stress of a leaky roof, you might find this story amusing: Years ago, we had a jingle on the radio. It was catchy little toe-tapper with a bluegrassy feel, and the final verse went, “So if ya got a leak and you don’t want it, call Accent and we’ll come running. As the ladies said in O Brother, Where Art Thou?, you’re bona fide! We’d like to commend you for being a serving son and holding your mom’s hand through the roofing process. We cannot express how much we appreciate the time and care you took to write a beautiful, chronological account of your experience; that’s so rare, so unexpected, and so humbling. We’d also like you to know—seriously—that Phillip’s reaction to your review was, “99.5% is pretty good, but there’s room for improvement.” We hope he was joking. Back to your mom: You make a point which we wish we could shout from the rooftops: Any time we serve a senior client, we always invite them to bring in a trusted adult child or friend if it increases their comfort and confidence. It’s too bad that there are still so many stories in the news about older folks being taken advantage of, and we consider it a great honor to be trusted in such delicate situations.
