Kyle came out and was able to give us an estimate and explained the process for having the roof replaced. He also called our insurance company and came out to meet with the assessor. Greetings Daniel! My name is Tommy, and I’m the founder of the outfit that just repaired your roof. Hopefully, after a couple of weeks, you still remember who we are! Wanted to drop you a line to say that, among the thousands of reviews we’ve received over the years, yours stands out as one of the most gratifying. Thank you! You might wonder why I call your review “one” of the best rather than just calling it “the” best. What would be the harm, right? Well, several years ago, a client gave us this review: “I’ve had more trouble getting my order straight at the burger joint drive-thru than I did having Accent put on my new roof.” That review struck me as so profound and amusing that, in a moment of weakness, I wrote to her and said, “That’s the best review ever!” So now, on those occasions when a client takes the time to craft an unusually thoughtful, sincere, and insightful review such as yours, I face a dilemma: Should I tell that client that his/her review is the best ever? If I were to do that, my conscience would require me to write to my burger joint client and say, “It was a nice run, but it’s over!” This is not to say that your review is now the champion (wink-wink), but to say I’ve settled on the opinion that unique reviews, like friends, children, and golf courses, are not meant to be rated but to be appreciated. One housekeeping note: You may wonder how I have the time to write to you about this. Well, I’m now plenty-nine years of age, and the whippersnappers around here have banded together to keep me off the roof. So, to earn my keep, I invest my time in reaching out to great clients like you and schooling young repair techs like Joe in the finer points of this crazy craft we call roofing.
