A homeowner in Saint Francis called Adonis Roofing out to determine what was causing the staining on the kitchen ceiling. Larger roof caps utilized for over-the-stove fans can easily cause leaks if not installed properly. Never rely on exposed caulk as the primary water barrier. Caulking is best used under the shingles to deter water from venturing any further than the caulk bead. When caulk is exposed to UV rays of the sun, it will break down extremely fast but when applied under the shingles it will last for the life of the shingle.

Utilizing a slate remover, the staples were pulled out from underneath the cedar shingle then the piece just slid out allowing for an easy install for the new pieces.

If you need roof repair then look no further! Very professional and timely. Walks you through the process and even showed me how to repair myself.
