My AC stopped blowing cold air yesterday afternoon in 115 degree F outside temperature. I called Alaskan at about 4PM and they were able to have a tech at my house a little after 7PM. The tech took about 10 minutes diagnosing the problem and was spot on with his pre-diagnostic assessment once he gave it a look over. I gave them a middle of the road review. The good they came out same day within a fee hours of me making the appt and the tech nice. The bad it was thought that I needed a capacitor. I wanted to replace until he told me that Part was $639 a capacitor really. I looked that part up on Amazon and ir was $17.99. I didn't do the service. So make up tour own mind. refrigerant is $140 per pound.

A month and a half ago I had the ac system checked for summer. Everything checked out good. June 15th system running hot I came home and my house was 82⁰ but my cooler was set at 76⁰. I went up to the roof and the side panel to the unit was not attached to the cooler. I went inside and called Alaskan 4 times before someone returned my call. I was told there's gonna be a 129 dollar fee for a diagnostic. They said they would be here between 12 and 3 the next day. He was here at most maybe an hour.... Read more
