Basement waterproofing Townsend DE (Kent County):

This family's cellar was flooding every time it rained. We were able to diagnose the source of the problem. While it was a complex fix, our crews rose to the occasion and stopped the water from entering the basement using a combination of exterior drainage and a level 8 basement waterproofing system.

My husband and I had a very good experience with this company. A specialist came to our home in advance to spend time evaluating our needs and then walked us through the french drain implementation process. We were then able to quickly have the team scheduled to do the work which was done in one day. Great service and very efficient.

Referred to this company to install structural supports in my crawl space. Originally they put in non compliant equipment in a shoddy manner. I had to look up building codes and take pictures because it didn't look right. Not only was I correct, I had to argue the point to their internal engineering supervisor and send them the code language to finally get them to admit to performing the correct repairs. They tried to pass off $60 jack posts as permanent supports. Adding back one star for the t... Read more

Stephan, we are very sorry you've had a negative experience with our company. Due to a misinterpretation of the manufacturer's catalogs , the jacks that were originally installed were believed to be the correct sizing for code compliancy and were only intended to act as secondary supports to your existing block columns. However, after further review, we admitted to our mistake and ordered custom concrete-filled columns and returned to swap them out. Ultimately, we are happy to hear of your satisfaction with our technician and apologize for the inconvenience and delay in getting things rectified.

I reached out to this company for two small cracks in my foundation. They came out and recommended underpinning. They weren’t too pushy but did talk up lifetime guarantees. Price seemed good so I said ok. They gave me a contract with diagrams and a date to come. Over the weekend I realized I may need a permit because this was altering the structure of the house. I called the township and they informed me I did need a permit. The company was scheduled to come the next day. I called the company a... Read more

Dear Jill, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback about your experience with our company. We genuinely apologize for the frustrations and challenges you've encountered throughout the process. It's disheartening to hear about the miscommunication regarding the need for a permit and the subsequent confusion with the contract. Our company does have different contracts that correlate with specific scopes of work and typically, the underpinning is presented on one that does specify the homeowner's responsibility to check with the township regarding potential permits. This is what caused the misunderstanding during your conversation with Jim; however, we sincerely apologize the inspector didn't mention this during your initial consultation. Every township has a different interpretation of what requires permitting and because we work in such a broad area, we find it best to let the homeowners inquire as they are often more keen to knowing the local codes, ordinances, and officials. Upon learning about the required permit, we promptly supplied all applications, insurances, and licenses the same day, and overnighted everything to the township. After starting the project, the on site team determined it was best to install pins in some of the block below grade to help solidify the wall prior to excavating and while it did cause a delay with the rough inspection, it was done at no additional cost despite utilizing quite a bit of additional materials and labor. In the end we were able to work with the inspector to accommodate the extended timeline and the workers were willing to work later into the evening so we could prevent the project from continuing into the next day and taking up more of your time. We understand how you could feel misled about the permit process and we are very sorry our team was not more transparent or informed on the matter. It was not our intentions to misguide you or come across as dishonest. Our goal is to always be up front with our customers as to create a hassle free process while providing adequate service. We hope that you accept our apology and feel that you can trust us if you ever need anything further in the future.
