Basement waterproofing Townsend DE (Kent County):

This family's cellar was flooding every time it rained. We were able to diagnose the source of the problem. While it was a complex fix, our crews rose to the occasion and stopped the water from entering the basement using a combination of exterior drainage and a level 8 basement waterproofing system.

10/10 !!! My wife and I recently got our basement waterproofed with this company and everything is working perfectly. The recent rain has been a huge test to see how everything keeps up and we have had no problems with water since Basement Waterproofing Specialist's crew completed our system. The crew we dealt with was very clean and completed our work quickly without compromising the quality. Everyone we spoke to was very professional and knowledgeable. Saw company's advertisement in the Clipper magazine and decided to call them for an estimate. I received a return call from a "Senior Inspector" by the name of Dean Snyder the same day. He scheduled an estimate at my home November 30. The good inspector touted the solid reputation of the family owed business and a lifetime guarantee on the work done. He stated that there was an "onsite supervisor" on every job and they would be responsible for clean up and disposal of any debris. The cost quote ... Read more

Lina, We apologize for your negative experience with our company. We take all feedback seriously, including concerns regarding any of our work to ensure quality assurance moving forward. Before completing work in customer's basements, we make everyone aware that all items in the immediate area will have to be moved in order to install our system. Our inspectors are trained to mention this during their consultation and it’s also mentioned within our mutual contract to make sure proper expectations are set. It is necessary for finished exterior walls or closets connected to the exterior walls to be removed in order for the drain to go through those areas which is why your linen closet would have been cut into. This is the same for any appliances that may be in the way as the trenching and fresh concrete needs time to cure before they can be put back. Typically, this is discussed during the initial inspection as a customer may opt to have someone from our company return to move things back or reinstall finishings. We will be sure to follow up with Dean and reiterate the importance of mentioning these details during his inspections so proper expectations are met. Following the installation at your home, you contacted us to make us aware of the issues you were having in which Riley asked if you could forward us some photos so we could see what would need to be corrected prior to having someone return. Unfortunately, it seems you had mistaken the phone number to send the photos to and the process was halted for two days. Once we cleared up the miscommunication, we offered to send a technician out on the next business day but you declined to have us return and then abruptly ended the call. We do apologize the foreman never made you aware of the damaged window and we will be reprimanded as our company does not tolerate negligence when it comes to reporting damages during our jobs. We are very sorry that you still have a negative view of our workmanship, and the offer still stands to correct these issues. We ask that you please contact management if you wish to discuss things further or set up a return visit.

Backstory, we had our basement flood during a really bad rain storm that lasted for 2 days. Basement was really bad. Called BWS and they were out the next day and ON TIME which is unheard of. The team executed perfectly without leaving a mess. Absolutely would recommend10/10. Thank you for making our home a better place!
