We recently had Basement Waterproofing Specialists Inc. do a $13k install of new drain system and sump pump in our basement. We have just had the basement flood and, after investigating why, I discovered it was the installers’ negligence that caused this. When they installed the pump, instead of putting it on a dedicated line like they should have (this was info their own engineer confirmed for me as well), they plugged it into an outlet on a light bulb socket and then neglected to check that th... Had work done in April 2021--the new dry well did not work...in fact, water is in the garage worse then before. Crewman was sent back to look at work that was done and they wanted another $3000 after the $3000 I spent for nothing...so I paid $3000 for a drain that has never drained.
