This project features a black EPDM roof replacement, including installation of a new durable black EPDM rubber membrane roofing system designed for long-term weather resistance and energy efficiency. The scope also includes installation of black metal components and trim to ensure a clean, uniform finish and improved edge protection. The homeowners issues actually cropped up during Maryland's 4 week freeze out, making full production not an option at the time. Black Anchor performed temporary repairs to the roof to hold if over until the full project scope could be executed once weather permitted.

This project involved the installation of a custom copper accent roof above the front porch area to enhance both the functionality and architectural appearance of the home. The existing section was carefully prepared to ensure a clean, durable substrate prior to installation.
Our team installed a high-quality copper roofing system using properly formed copper panels and precision-bent trim pieces to create a seamless, watertight accent feature. All seams, edges, and transitions were carefully detailed to ensure long-term durability and proper water shedding away from the structure.
The copper was installed with appropriate underlayment and fastening methods designed to allow for natural expansion and contraction of the metal. This installation not only provides additional weather protection for the porch area but also adds a distinctive architectural element that will develop a natural patina over time, enhancing the home's curb appeal for years to come.

This project involved the full replacement of a 20-year-old asphalt shingle roof that had reached the end of its serviceable life due to normal aging and weather exposure. The existing roofing materials showed signs of wear, including granule loss and general deterioration, making a full replacement necessary to maintain proper protection for the home.
Our team carefully removed the existing shingles and underlayment down to the roof deck and conducted a full inspection to ensure the decking was in good condition. Once the roof deck was confirmed to be structurally sound, a complete Owens Corning roofing system was installed.
The installation included high-quality underlayment, starter shingles, Owens Corning architectural shingles, and proper ridge ventilation components to promote adequate attic airflow. All materials were installed according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes to ensure long-term durability and full system performance.
The finished roof provides the homeowner with a modern, weather-resistant roofing system designed to deliver reliable protection, improved curb appeal, and long-lasting performance for many years to come.
