Conejo home services will cap off existing line for manifold and reroute copper line overhead for hot side and and properly inspect cold side before-attaching to kitchen sink water in incoming supply and also bathroom fixture supply line overhead through ceiling down stairs.

Once scope of work has been performed we will cover existing holes, but cannot be held responsible for any type of drywall, texture, or paint.

Slab Leak Reroute Reroute water lines to bypass a slab leak in a residential or commercial property, avoiding costly and invasive slab excavation while restoring water system functionality and preventing further damage. Slab leaks, often caused by pipe corrosion or ground movement, can lead to water loss, high utility bills, and structural issues like foundation cracks or mold. This process involves identifying the leak with electronic detection, isolating the affected pipe, and installing new copper or PEX piping through alternative routes (e.g., walls, ceilings, or crawlspaces) to restore water flow. The reroute eliminates the need to repair the slab-embedded pipe, offering a cost-effective and less disruptive solution. Note that Conejo does not repair or replace drywall, paint, or stucco, so any wall penetrations or cosmetic repairs must be handled by the client or a separate contractor. Location: Interior/Exterior (Alternate Routing Path) Tasks: Preparation: 1. Locate slab leak using electronic leak detection equipment (e.g., acoustic or infrared tools). 2. Shut off main water supply and isolate affected piping to prevent water loss. 3. Plan reroute path (e.g., through walls, attic, or crawlspace) and set up work area with tools (pipe cutter, fittings, PPE). Pipe Rerouting: 1. Install new copper or PEX piping along the planned reroute path, avoiding the slab leak. 2. Connect new line to existing water supply and fixtures using appropriate fittings (e.g., tees, couplings). 3. Secure piping with hangers or clips every 4-6 feet to prevent movement, per code. System Integration: 1. Cap or isolate the leaking slab pipe to prevent future use, ensuring no pressure loss. 2. Integrate new piping with existing system, maintaining water pressure (40-80 psi). 3. Ensure rerouted lines are accessible for future maintenance and avoid structural obstructions. Testing: 1. Restore water supply and perform pressure test to confirm no leaks in rerouted lines. 2. Run water through fixtures to verify normal flow and no cold water mixing. 3. Inspect all connections for leaks using a pressure test or visual inspection. Cleanup and Final Steps: 1. Clean work area and dispose of debris per local regulations. 2. Provide client with reroute layout and maintenance instructions. 3. Conduct walkthrough to demonstrate restored water flow and explain limitations. Notes: - Bypasses slab leaks to restore water flow without invasive slab excavation. - Conejo does not repair or replace drywall, paint, or stucco; client responsible for cosmetic repairs. - Additional piping or complex rerouting quoted separately if needed. - Advise client to monitor water bills and new piping for signs of leaks. - Estimate valid for 60 days from issuance - Includes permit fees (if required) - Unforeseen issues or additional work will be quoted separately with client approval - Exclusions: Drywall, paint, stucco, tile, concrete, stone repairs, or existing water damage - Duration: 6-8 hours, 2 technicians - Warranty: 5 years parts, 2 years labor

Slab leak repair - Silver Solder Brazing

Sold by Tony

Slab Leak Repair - Silver Solder Brazing

Repair a slab leak in a residential or commercial property using silver solder brazing to fix a leaking pipe embedded in the concrete foundation, restoring water system integrity and preventing water loss or structural damage. Slab leaks, often caused by corrosion, abrasion, or ground settling, can lead to high water bills, foundation cracks, or mold growth if untreated. Silver solder brazing creates a strong, durable seal on copper pipes, capable of withstanding high water pressure (up to 200 psi) and temperature fluctuations. The process involves locating the leak with electronic detection tools, accessing the pipe through targeted concrete cutting, and brazing the damaged section, minimizing disruption to the slab. This repair ensures a long-lasting fix, maintains water quality, and complies with plumbing codes, protecting the property from further damage.

Location: Interior/Exterior (Under Concrete Slab)

Tasks:

Preparation:

1. Locate slab leak using electronic leak detection equipment (e.g., acoustic sensors or thermal imaging).

2. Shut off main water supply and isolate affected piping section to prevent water loss.

3. Set up work area with tools (concrete saw, torch, silver solder, PPE) and protective coverings.

Slab Access:

1. Mark and cut concrete slab at leak location using a concrete saw, minimizing damage (e.g., 1-2 square feet).

2. Remove debris and expose leaking pipe, ensuring safe access for repair.

3. Verify pipe material (typically copper) and assess damage extent.

Pipe Repair:

1. Clean and dry pipe surface, then apply silver solder brazing to seal the leak or damaged section.

2. Use a torch to heat the pipe and apply silver solder, ensuring a strong, leak-free joint.

3. Inspect brazed area for integrity and test with low-pressure water flow.

Testing and Restoration:

1. Restore water supply and perform pressure test (e.g., 80-120 psi) to confirm no leaks.

2. Backfill excavation with appropriate material and patch concrete, if within scope.

3. Run water through repaired line to verify normal flow and no pressure loss.

Cleanup and Final Steps:

1. Clean work area and dispose of concrete debris per local regulations.

2. Provide client with repair details and maintenance recommendations.

3. Conduct walkthrough to explain repair process and signs of future leaks.

Notes:

- Repairs slab leaks with durable silver solder brazing to prevent water loss and structural damage.

- Concrete patching quoted separately if not included; major slab repairs may require third-party contractor.

- Advise client to monitor water bills and slab for signs of new leaks.

- Estimate valid for 60 days from issuance

- Includes permit fees (if required)

- Unforeseen issues or additional work will be quoted separately with client approval

- Exclusions: Drywall, paint, stucco, tile, concrete, stone repairs, or existing water damage

- Duration: 4-6 hours, 2 technicians

- Warranty: 5 years parts, 2 years labor

- Financing: 18 months at 0% interest available
