Dishonest Review while Popup Thunder Storms Delay Removal of Shingles Customer Complained That We Delayed Removing Shingles Due to Rain The homeowner’s assertion that the minor debris removal was not completed is inaccurate. The debris was thoroughly cleaned up the following morning, as the risk of high-humidity thunderstorms, which previously posed a challenge to project resumption, had subsided. There was no prolonged delay in restarting the project, and no damage was incurred to the landscaping. Notably, the crew inadvertently damaged an older plastic window well cover, which was promptly replaced at no expense to the homeowner. During our installation managers’ final inspection, several minor items were identified and confirmed to be correct. During the project, the crew initially cleared sufficient insulation to meet code and manufacturer requirements, which was obstructing the proper intake of cooler dryer air into the upper attic areas. However, after the project was completed, it was a period of extremely high temperatures and humidity. Upon completion, the homeowner complained about the temperature in his attic. The standard building codes and manufacturer installation specifications do not include attic temperature requirements. Roofers are obligated to ensure that they exceed the uniform building codes and manufacturer requirements for the size of intake and exhaust vents to guarantee proper airflow. This process was executed correctly, but in an attempt to satisfy the customer, the crew returned at no cost to make further adjustments inside the attic to enhance airflow. The Ridge Vents ventilation slot was never cut too short. Our policy is to install the ridge vent end to end, but this crew only installed the actual vent itself over the cut slot, not continuing the ridge vent to the end of the roof of each side of the ridge. Observe your neighborhood; most ridge vents that are installed end about 2 feet from the end of the ridge. We extend the ridge vent to the very end of the ridge so that the vent blends in and does not appear as an add-on fixture. Regrettably, all contractors encounter customers who exhibit chronic complaining tendencies. These individuals disrupt the processes verbally inject themselves in the role of a foremen and seek excessive micromanagement, disregarding our established processes designed to ensure homeowner satisfaction. He resorted to using technology to record private conversations and film the workers, subsequently misreporting these incidents through text messages and emails. Instead of allowing the crew to execute their work, this individual disrupted the entire process, causing significant stress for the entire team. The Installation Manager, Sam, and Supervisor, Tom, subsequently reviewed the project and provided instructions for necessary adjustments or corrections which is their job assignment. However, the homeowner’s actions ultimately hindered the progress of the project. Despite customer interruptions, every valid or invalid issue raised was addressed using our standard process. The customer paid us in full, demonstrating their satisfaction with the final installation, despite their review to the contrary. Sincerely, Scott Dennison President Dennison Roofing & Gutter Toppers
