He gave me some options and after asking him what he suggested, he didn't just suggest the most expensive option, he offered his opinion based on his own experience and thought on what he thought was best for my situation. The scheduling and manpower needed to finish on time before a storm rolled through was perfect. Also, the install team went above and beyond when they installed a bathroom exhaust vent instead of letting the fan continue to vent into the attic. They also went above and beyond by running an extra bead of caulk near some rotten wood siding to keep water from getting behind the roof flashing.

If they are working correctly, it is just a personal preference. Some people like the functionality and clean look of new gutters with the new roof. But we do change plenty of roofs without replacing the gutters.
