My husband and I hired Frey Construction to replace the roof, skylights, and gutters on our house in Madison. We were a bit disappointed with the scheduling process, but the installation went well. The work was scheduled for early April, but the day before installation, we learned that the replacement skylights had never been ordered. We had Frey’s come do our siding. They were prompt and efficient. When I had any questions or concerns they took care of it right away. We love the color and quality! We requested bids from three different contractors for a new garage, and Frey was one of them. The Frey representative indicated that it would cost $1,500 just to receive the bid, which was a real turn off. Their rough estimate was double what another contractor estimated, and we just signed a contract with that contractor at the exact price of the estimate. We are sorry to hear this. Our budget numbers were based off a different scope of work. We believe that is how every garage should be built. The $1,500 was to have our Architect draw, design, and then build out the cost after the final scope of work was determined. We wish you the best of luck with the direction you have decided to go.
