I was impressed that Mr George Gilliland, himself, was the sales rep. During my initial meeting and follow-ups as well. I so appreciated his honesty about my job. Other roofing companies I interviewed, although I wanted quotes for roof and gutters, gave me pricing for both. One reviewing gkg roofings proposal, I noticed gutter replacement cost were missing. I have only glowing remarks for GKG roofing. The owner is a professional and dedicated to providing great work and using materials which go well beyond industry standards. I consulted with 4 other roofing companies but found this company to be superior to the others. GKG did a more thorough inspection and caught other issues overlooked/ignored during earlier inspections. Boyd, we appreciate the comments, it is nice to know our above and beyond methods. Do not go unnoticed , I guess after over 30 years of being in the roofing industry. It still does not surprise me how poor inspections can leave an owner with lingering problems. And in many cases the owner is not even made aware of the problem. The poor attempt at installing proper eave and wall flashing has been on your roof since being built. It is now corrected once and for all. And I am glad we were able to catch the brick chimney work that needed addressed. Which we were able to do at the time of roof install. Rather than not addressing or letting it go without your knowledge, which most definitely would have resulted in a very extensive tear down and rebuild soon in the future. You now have a roof system and chimney repair that will last you for many, many years to come. We appreciate you selecting us over the other 4 companies you interviewed. GKG Roofing is a great company. We had a wind damaged roof with interior leaking. George came out, inspected the damage, and had someone come out to put a temporary repair while we made a insurance claim. He assisted with the claim, and helped us go from $0 coverage for roof repair to $9500 for a roof replacement. We still had the deducible, but getting the insurance company to pay up would not have happen without the information they provided. His roof replacement/installation price was so good... Read more
