Chapel Hill Roof Repair – Storm Leak Resolution

We were recently contacted by a Chapel Hill homeowner experiencing roof leaks following a weekend storm. With the roof being only 5 years old, it was clear a full replacement wasn’t necessary—just a focused, high-quality repair. As always, we were happy to provide a thorough and honest inspection to determine the best course of action.

Here’s what our team did to resolve the issue and prevent future leaks:

  1. Removed and replaced shingles along the valley at the back of the home
  2. Installed ice and water shield in the valley for added protection
  3. Removed and replaced step flashing and valley metal at the low-slope transition

These targeted repairs addressed the leak and reinforced the roof’s most vulnerable areas, extending its life and performance!

      They did a great job on our roof and install of a skylight. Bahman was great to work with and was responsive to all of my questions and the project as a whole. The skylight install was to replace a swamp cooler and Skylight Specialists tackled the problem, exterior and interior, and it looks great. All of the work was done professionally and quickly.       I bought my first home right as the pandemic shutdown began in my area which couldn't have been worse timing. Before even moving into the house, there were some severe storms that caused leaking down to the first floor! My real estate agent referred me to Jason Kaczur of Great Roofing & Restoration, and he really saved the day! His guys replaced the roof and fixed all of the interior damage. Now my home looks great and is nice and dry inside.
