This residential project in Nashville, Indiana involved a partial roof repair focused on correcting an active roof leak and addressing problems around a furnace/gas vent penetration. The project was classified as a warranty repair rather than a full roof replacement.


The repair scope included removing and replacing shingles around the affected furnace vent and installing Ice & Water Shield around the penetration to provide additional protection against water intrusion. Shingles damaged by the existing tarp installation were also included in the repair scope.

Malarkey Highlander Heather Roof with New VELUX Skylights in Camby


Project Description


An American Family insurance restoration on North Carefree Court in Camby grew into a multi-trade exterior project with the roof at its center. The completed scope included a 33-square roof replacement, two new VELUX fixed skylights, gutter-guard work and nine window metal wraps.


Malarkey Highlander NEX AR shingles in Heather were installed with matching hip-and-ridge material, along with step flashing, wall flashing and replacement trim where the roof met adjoining surfaces. The skylight portion used two VELUX FS C04 units with matching flashing kits, keeping those roof openings within the documented replacement scope.


A separate completed order covered 115 linear feet of standard gutter guards, while the siding-related order handled the window metal wraps. Bringing those elements together allowed the Camby project to address the roof, skylights and selected exterior details.

We hired Indy Roof & Restoration (IR&R) to replace our roof and gutters this summer, and we are very happy with the result!
