Oakridge Roofing With Box Ventilation in Avon


Project Description


An Avon home received a 30.5-square roof replacement using Owens Corning Oakridge AR shingles with ProEdge hip-and-ridge caps and Owens Corning starter shingles. The installation included 65 linear feet of hip-and-ridge work.


RhinoRoof UDL synthetic underlayment and Resisto Economy ice-and-water protection accompanied the covering. Aluminum drip edge, eight Lomanco 750 box vents, a pipe flashing and metal shingle flashing formed the accessory package. The reroof was completed by February 2021.


Project Details


Location: Merritt Ridge Way, Avon, Indiana; residential reroof.


Roof: Owens Corning Oakridge AR, ProEdge hip/ridge caps and starter shingles; color unspecified.


Labor: 30.5 squares shingle tear-off/installation and 65 feet hip/ridge.

Natural Wood Highlander Roof Restoration in Indianapolis


Project Description


The Shannon Pointe Road house in Indianapolis proceeded through a Nationwide insurance claim coordinated with Spartan. The initial actual-cash-value funds and deductible were paid before the roof build was approved. The final construction focused on the house roof.


Malarkey Highlander NEX AR shingles and RidgeFlex 12-inch hip-and-ridge caps were selected in Natural Wood. Smart Start, RhinoRoof UDL and Resisto Economy ice-and-water shield accompanied the roofing package. Black roof-edge metal, Lomanco box vents, Broan exhaust caps and plumbing flashings supplied the roof accessories. Two fixed VELUX FS C04-2004 skylights and their EDL flashing kits were included in the final roof order.


The roofing scope included 95 linear feet of hip-and-ridge work, 17 linear feet of step flashing and 15 linear feet of wall flashing. Steeper 8/12 roof sections had a separate access allowance, and the crew scope included chimney flashing and satellite-dish detach-and-reset. During construction, removal of chimney siding to address damaged flashing was approved with the homeowner informed.


The roof project was submitted and approved as complete in December 2021, with a later staff confirmation that the work was done.

We hired Indy Roof & Restoration (IR&R) to replace our roof and gutters this summer, and we are very happy with the result!
