Desert Tan Roof Replacement and HVAC Service in Indianapolis

Project Description

A fallen satellite dish damaged shingles at a home on Mesa Court in Indianapolis. After reviewing repair and replacement options, the homeowners selected a financed, customer-paid house reroof.

Owens Corning Oakridge AR shingles and ProEdge caps in Desert Tan were installed in April 2025. Starter Strip Plus and Tarco LeakBarrier MS300 were included in the roofing assembly, with additional membrane protection at the low-slope portion. A Brown Lomanco LomanCool power vent, Royal Brown edge and step-flashing metals, and pipe flashings accompanied the installation. The roof included 73 linear feet of hip-and-ridge work and 23 linear feet of step flashing.

A separate HVAC contractor later attended the home and performed B-vent repairs.

Apollo Way Storm Gray Reroof with Two-Layer Tear-Off

Project Description

The Apollo Way homeowners in Indianapolis chose a retail roof replacement. They had already worked with Indy Roof & Restoration on a separate rental property and requested new shingle samples before approving work at their own residence. The residence's signed documents were then routed into production.

Production revisited the roof with a pitch gauge because the measurements and photographs suggested differing slopes. After the updated photographs were uploaded, the order included extra synthetic underlayment for low-slope areas. The order and field notes record roof completion on April 22, 2025. The final system used Malarkey Highlander NEX AR shingles and RidgeFlex caps in Storm Gray, with Arctic Seal, RhinoRoof UDL and Smart Start.

The roof order includes VentSure ridge ventilation, three Black Broan exhaust caps, two pipe flashings and Black edge and flashing metals. Labor records specify two-layer tear-off across 25 squares, eight squares of two-story access, 89 linear feet of hip and ridge, 47 linear feet of step flashing, nine linear feet of wall flashing and large-chimney flashing. The existing gutter system was kept.

During tear-off, the crew recorded rot requiring a two-sheet OSB change. The production closeout again records a two-sheet change order.

These guys are excellent. Extremely professional, reliable, and . communicative. Lavell was my project manager and he was awesome. I had to get him out for quotes several times for a project on a house I was buying (sellers were trying to hide problems and fake fixes but weren't smart enough to get away with it) and Lavell happily kept coming back out and getting me the info I needed each time. When it came time to complete the job, the crew did fantastic work - very thorough and looks great. Th... Read more

IndyRoof & Restoration did a great job from beginning to completion. The field inspector, Mark Sopke, was my initial and ongoing contact through the entire project. Can’t think of anything else he could have done to make the process easier. Highly recommend both Mark and IndyRoof. I even called my insurance agent and told them how good they were.

We hired Indy Roof & Restoration (IR&R) to replace our roof and gutters this summer, and we are very happy with the result! We had taken some storm damage (hail and wind) last winter, and IR&R was able to work with our homeowner's insurance to get the majority of the replacement paid for! We are also very happy that IR&R is a certified installer of Malarkey shingles. Funny name, I know, but these might actually be the best shingles money can buy. We went with Malarkey Legacy shingles, as we want... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

We have been creating five-star experiences since 2018 and have built a team that takes the stress out of roofing and home restoration. With over 1,500 five-star Google reviews and a consistent A+ BBB rating, our reputation speaks for itself, but what we are most proud of is how we treat people when things go wrong. We are available 24/7, we offer financing for eligible clients, and we assist homeowners through the insurance claims process from start to finish. One of our customers had a roof replacement approved through insurance after other contractors said it could not be done, and that is exactly the kind of advocacy we bring to every job.

Yes, navigating a storm damage claim is one of the things we do best. When hail, wind, or rain damages your roof, we conduct a thorough inspection with photo documentation so you have a clear record of everything that was affected. We assist you through the entire claims process, working directly with your insurance company to make sure all damage is properly reported and covered. Homeowners across Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, and the surrounding Indiana communities have relied on us to get approvals that other contractors could not secure.

Yes, and this is one of the things that genuinely sets us apart. Beyond residential roofing, commercial roofing, and gutter installation and repair, we also offer vinyl siding installation, James Hardie siding installation, window replacement, skylight installation, attic insulation, interior and exterior painting, and water and fire restoration services. We even provide mold removal for homes affected by water damage. Whether your home needs one service or a full restoration after a major event, we handle it all under one roof so you are never managing multiple contractors or wondering who is responsible for what.

It starts with a free inspection. We come out, assess the condition of your roof, take photos, and give you an honest recommendation on whether repair or full replacement makes more sense for your situation. If insurance is involved, we help you through that process as well. Once you decide to move forward, we work with you on scheduling, material selection, and financing if needed, and we keep you informed at every stage. Our goal is to make a stressful situation feel manageable, not more complicated.

Yes, community involvement is a core part of who we are, not just a line on a website. We proudly support Fountains of Hope, which works to provide clean drinking water in third-world nations, and Habitat for Humanity, where we provide free roofing for homes being built or renovated for families in need. For us, being a good roofing company means being a good neighbor, and the work we do in the Indianapolis community and beyond is a reflection of the values we bring to every project we take on.
