Jefferson Valley House and Garage Reroof with Dual Black Shingles and Brown Edge Metal

Project Description

Indy Roof & Restoration organized an insurance reroof for the house and detached garage at this Jefferson Valley property in Coatesville. Tree cover prevented completion of the initial aerial measurement request, so the team obtained an EagleView report before building the estimate. The homeowners retained their existing brown gutters. They deliberately selected brown edge metal alongside a black roof and black roof accessories so the new roof edges would coordinate with those gutters.

The June 16, 2025 completed roof order specified IKO Cambridge AR shingles and Hip and Ridge 12 caps in Dual Black for both buildings. Tarco LeakBarrier MS300, ABC Pro Guard 20 synthetic underlayment and Leading Edge Plus starter made up the accompanying underlayment and starter scope. Six Black static vents and pipe flashings accompanied Royal Brown drip edge and gutter apron. The labor scope included 93 linear feet of hip and ridge, a large chimney-flashing installation and detachment and resetting of a weather vane.

During tear-off, the crew identified rot around the chimney base and rear peak and recorded a two-sheet OSB change-order requirement.

The roof order and subsequent completion correspondence document the finished roofing phase. Indy also sent carrier records and depreciation reminders.

Ironway Drive Earthtone Cedar Reroof with a Sienna Blend Dead-Valley Assembly

Project Description

Planning this Ironway Drive reroof in Indianapolis required careful attention to the homeowners' actual-cash-value insurance policy. The saved scope distinguished actual cash value from replacement cost, and Indy Roof & Restoration discussed owner costs before scheduling the work. A dead valley required a separate membrane assembly within the house reroof. Production retained the existing gutters.

The completed June 2025 roof order used IKO Cambridge AR shingles and Hip and Ridge 12 caps in Earthtone Cedar. Tarco LeakBarrier MS300, RhinoRoof UDL synthetic underlayment and Leading Edge Plus starter accompanied the shingle assembly. Eight Brown static vents and Royal Brown drip edge and gutter apron coordinated with the selected roof color. The installation scope recorded 228 linear feet of hip and ridge, 13 linear feet of step flashing, one linear foot of wall flashing and pipe and exhaust-cap components.

For the dead valley, the homeowners selected Sienna Blend rather than leaving the membrane color undecided. The completed order paired Malarkey OmniSeal 420 Base/Ply with OmniSeal 430 Cap SA, asphalt primer and one square of base-and-cap installation labor. Build-day tear-off then identified three OSB sheets and two rotted one-by-two-by-eight-foot trim boards around the chimney for a change order. Those field quantities supersede the original five-sheet decking allowance.

The roofing crew detached existing LeafFilter gutter guards for access, consistent with the order's 180-linear-foot detachment scope. Indy proceeded with post-production supplement review and submitted the completed roofing scope to the carrier.

These guys are excellent. Extremely professional, reliable, and . communicative. Lavell was my project manager and he was awesome. I had to get him out for quotes several times for a project on a house I was buying (sellers were trying to hide problems and fake fixes but weren't smart enough to get away with it) and Lavell happily kept coming back out and getting me the info I needed each time. When it came time to complete the job, the crew did fantastic work - very thorough and looks great. Th... Read more

IndyRoof & Restoration did a great job from beginning to completion. The field inspector, Mark Sopke, was my initial and ongoing contact through the entire project. Can’t think of anything else he could have done to make the process easier. Highly recommend both Mark and IndyRoof. I even called my insurance agent and told them how good they were.

We hired Indy Roof & Restoration (IR&R) to replace our roof and gutters this summer, and we are very happy with the result! We had taken some storm damage (hail and wind) last winter, and IR&R was able to work with our homeowner's insurance to get the majority of the replacement paid for! We are also very happy that IR&R is a certified installer of Malarkey shingles. Funny name, I know, but these might actually be the best shingles money can buy. We went with Malarkey Legacy shingles, as we want... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

We have been creating five-star experiences since 2018 and have built a team that takes the stress out of roofing and home restoration. With over 1,500 five-star Google reviews and a consistent A+ BBB rating, our reputation speaks for itself, but what we are most proud of is how we treat people when things go wrong. We are available 24/7, we offer financing for eligible clients, and we assist homeowners through the insurance claims process from start to finish. One of our customers had a roof replacement approved through insurance after other contractors said it could not be done, and that is exactly the kind of advocacy we bring to every job.

Yes, navigating a storm damage claim is one of the things we do best. When hail, wind, or rain damages your roof, we conduct a thorough inspection with photo documentation so you have a clear record of everything that was affected. We assist you through the entire claims process, working directly with your insurance company to make sure all damage is properly reported and covered. Homeowners across Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, and the surrounding Indiana communities have relied on us to get approvals that other contractors could not secure.

Yes, and this is one of the things that genuinely sets us apart. Beyond residential roofing, commercial roofing, and gutter installation and repair, we also offer vinyl siding installation, James Hardie siding installation, window replacement, skylight installation, attic insulation, interior and exterior painting, and water and fire restoration services. We even provide mold removal for homes affected by water damage. Whether your home needs one service or a full restoration after a major event, we handle it all under one roof so you are never managing multiple contractors or wondering who is responsible for what.

It starts with a free inspection. We come out, assess the condition of your roof, take photos, and give you an honest recommendation on whether repair or full replacement makes more sense for your situation. If insurance is involved, we help you through that process as well. Once you decide to move forward, we work with you on scheduling, material selection, and financing if needed, and we keep you informed at every stage. Our goal is to make a stressful situation feel manageable, not more complicated.

Yes, community involvement is a core part of who we are, not just a line on a website. We proudly support Fountains of Hope, which works to provide clean drinking water in third-world nations, and Habitat for Humanity, where we provide free roofing for homes being built or renovated for families in need. For us, being a good roofing company means being a good neighbor, and the work we do in the Indianapolis community and beyond is a reflection of the values we bring to every project we take on.
