Mill Pond Lane Reroof with Three Larger Skylights and Retail Decking

Project Description

Ice dams and an interior leak prompted the Mill Pond Lane homeowner in Indianapolis to request a roof inspection. Indy Roof & Restoration developed an AAA insurance reroof and gutter scope, alongside a separately priced decking replacement for mold-affected areas. Planning accounted for steep roof access, three skylights, the rear pond and a designated garage-side location for the dumpster and leftover materials.

The May 2025 roof installation used Malarkey Highlander NEX AR shingles and RidgeFlex hip and ridge shingles in Brilliant Black. Arctic Seal membrane, RhinoRoof UDL and Smart Start starter accompanied VentSure ridge ventilation, two black static vents, roof exhaust caps and penetration flashings. The completed roofing scope included 519 linear feet of hip and ridge, 85 linear feet of step flashing and 32 linear feet of wall flashing. Crew instructions called for protective ground nets over the rear pond.

The owner selected three larger VELUX FS C08 fixed skylights after reviewing the existing openings and the smaller C06 alternative. The planned decking work covered four rear rows and two front rows, with 42 sheets subsequently confirmed replaced. That work remained a retail item associated with the mold finding. It was kept separate from the insurance supplement, which approved ridge cap, vent protection, ice-and-water membrane, step and wall flashing, and access equipment, expanding the documented carrier scope.

The completed gutter phase installed 472 linear feet of six-inch Linen gutters, with fourteen second-story three-by-four-inch downspouts, a second-to-first-story connection and a left-side extension. A separate stucco repair and painting phase was completed in July.

Highlander Reroof and Skylight on Northwood Drive in Fishers

Project Description

This Northwood Drive restoration in Fishers combined a USAA hail claim with homeowner-paid roofing and gutter-and-guard upgrades. Indy Roof & Restoration supplied discontinued-shingle documentation and product information during claim review. The homeowner selected a complete house reroof under a revised agreement.

The June 2025 roof used Malarkey Highlander NEX AR shingles and RidgeFlex hip and ridge shingles in Brilliant Black. Arctic Seal membrane, RhinoRoof UDL and Smart Start starter accompanied seven black static vents, a powered roof vent and black gutter apron. The completed scope included 185 linear feet of hip and ridge, chimney flashing and a new chimney cricket. A signed change order covered 25 decking sheets, which USAA subsequently approved through supplementation, increasing the insurance scope.

VELUX consultation and measurement checks established an FS C06 fixed skylight with EDL flashing as the selected replacement. Smooth flat White trim was installed around the interior skylight perimeter, with completion confirmed in July. The owner also reported completion of the powered vent’s electrical reconnection by an electrician.

The drainage order specified 242 linear feet of six-inch Black gutters, four three-by-four-inch downspouts and 230 linear feet of Dark Bronze Gutter RX guards. The project brought together the selected reroof, skylight and drainage upgrades with insurance supplementation for the decking.

These guys are excellent. Extremely professional, reliable, and . communicative. Lavell was my project manager and he was awesome. I had to get him out for quotes several times for a project on a house I was buying (sellers were trying to hide problems and fake fixes but weren't smart enough to get away with it) and Lavell happily kept coming back out and getting me the info I needed each time. When it came time to complete the job, the crew did fantastic work - very thorough and looks great. Th... Read more

IndyRoof & Restoration did a great job from beginning to completion. The field inspector, Mark Sopke, was my initial and ongoing contact through the entire project. Can’t think of anything else he could have done to make the process easier. Highly recommend both Mark and IndyRoof. I even called my insurance agent and told them how good they were.

We hired Indy Roof & Restoration (IR&R) to replace our roof and gutters this summer, and we are very happy with the result! We had taken some storm damage (hail and wind) last winter, and IR&R was able to work with our homeowner's insurance to get the majority of the replacement paid for! We are also very happy that IR&R is a certified installer of Malarkey shingles. Funny name, I know, but these might actually be the best shingles money can buy. We went with Malarkey Legacy shingles, as we want... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

We have been creating five-star experiences since 2018 and have built a team that takes the stress out of roofing and home restoration. With over 1,500 five-star Google reviews and a consistent A+ BBB rating, our reputation speaks for itself, but what we are most proud of is how we treat people when things go wrong. We are available 24/7, we offer financing for eligible clients, and we assist homeowners through the insurance claims process from start to finish. One of our customers had a roof replacement approved through insurance after other contractors said it could not be done, and that is exactly the kind of advocacy we bring to every job.

Yes, navigating a storm damage claim is one of the things we do best. When hail, wind, or rain damages your roof, we conduct a thorough inspection with photo documentation so you have a clear record of everything that was affected. We assist you through the entire claims process, working directly with your insurance company to make sure all damage is properly reported and covered. Homeowners across Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, and the surrounding Indiana communities have relied on us to get approvals that other contractors could not secure.

Yes, and this is one of the things that genuinely sets us apart. Beyond residential roofing, commercial roofing, and gutter installation and repair, we also offer vinyl siding installation, James Hardie siding installation, window replacement, skylight installation, attic insulation, interior and exterior painting, and water and fire restoration services. We even provide mold removal for homes affected by water damage. Whether your home needs one service or a full restoration after a major event, we handle it all under one roof so you are never managing multiple contractors or wondering who is responsible for what.

It starts with a free inspection. We come out, assess the condition of your roof, take photos, and give you an honest recommendation on whether repair or full replacement makes more sense for your situation. If insurance is involved, we help you through that process as well. Once you decide to move forward, we work with you on scheduling, material selection, and financing if needed, and we keep you informed at every stage. Our goal is to make a stressful situation feel manageable, not more complicated.

Yes, community involvement is a core part of who we are, not just a line on a website. We proudly support Fountains of Hope, which works to provide clean drinking water in third-world nations, and Habitat for Humanity, where we provide free roofing for homes being built or renovated for families in need. For us, being a good roofing company means being a good neighbor, and the work we do in the Indianapolis community and beyond is a reflection of the values we bring to every project we take on.
