North Cadillac Drive Retail Reroof and Black Gutters

Project Description

Water entering the soffit and fascia beside a detached gutter section brought this Crawfordsville homeowner to Indy Roof & Restoration. The owner already intended to replace the house roof, and the project proceeded as a retail roof-and-gutter replacement, retaining the original Cambridge quotation.

The June 2025 reroof used IKO Cambridge AR shingles in Charcoal Gray with coordinating Hip and Ridge 12 caps. Tarco LeakBarrier MS300 was included for the low-slope portion, along with ABC Pro Guard 20 synthetic underlayment and Leading Edge Plus starter. The completed roof order covered five black Lomanco static vents, black drip edge and gutter apron, pipe and electrical-mast flashings, 12 linear feet of step flashing and a large-chimney flashing. Hip-and-ridge installation totaled 173 linear feet.

The approved construction scope included decking materials, with 106 sheets of seven-sixteenths-inch OSB on the final roof order. Existing gutters were removed for the replacement drainage system, and the separate completed gutter order specified 252 linear feet of six-inch Black gutters with five three-by-four-inch downspouts. By July, production confirmed that no additional construction was scheduled. A completion notice subsequently followed.

Storm Gray Roof and Dark Gray Gutters After Appraisal in Indianapolis

Project Description

A tree fell onto the roof of a South Lockburn Street home in Indianapolis during a storm, prompting an inspection and insurance claim in October 2024. Indy Roof & Restoration coordinated tree removal with our installation crew and temporarily tarped the damaged roof areas. The tarps were tucked and fastened beneath the shingles above the damage while the permanent roofing scope was developed. These preparatory steps preceded the later house roof and gutter replacement.

The homeowner entered appraisal in late October 2024, and the file came out of appraisal in May 2025. The resulting construction agreement proceeded with full house-roof replacement and gutters. Insurance funds and financing covered the project.

The homeowner selected the Weather Shield package with Malarkey Highlander NEX AR shingles in Storm Gray and matching RidgeFlex hip-and-ridge caps. Malarkey Arctic Seal ice-and-water protection, ABC Pro Guard 20 synthetic underlayment and Malarkey Smart Start starter accompanied the shingles. The completed roofing order included 64 feet of hip and ridge, 34 feet of step flashing and seven feet of wall flashing. Quarrix ridge ventilation, black drip edge and gutter apron, lead pipe flashing and a chimney flashing assembly completed the specified roof components.

The front low-slope shingle section required extra ice-and-water protection. Gutterboard preparation was coordinated with the homeowner before the roof build. During tear-off, a change order addressed five OSB sheets and trim replacement, with fascia work also recorded in the construction follow-up. The roof crew completed its order on July 22, 2025.

The following day, the gutter crew completed 129 feet of six-inch Dark Gray gutters with seven first-story three-by-four-inch downspouts. Indy Roof & Restoration sent completion photographs to the carrier after both trades. Allstate subsequently confirmed release of the remaining depreciation to the policyholders.

These guys are excellent. Extremely professional, reliable, and . communicative. Lavell was my project manager and he was awesome. I had to get him out for quotes several times for a project on a house I was buying (sellers were trying to hide problems and fake fixes but weren't smart enough to get away with it) and Lavell happily kept coming back out and getting me the info I needed each time. When it came time to complete the job, the crew did fantastic work - very thorough and looks great. Th... Read more

IndyRoof & Restoration did a great job from beginning to completion. The field inspector, Mark Sopke, was my initial and ongoing contact through the entire project. Can’t think of anything else he could have done to make the process easier. Highly recommend both Mark and IndyRoof. I even called my insurance agent and told them how good they were.

We hired Indy Roof & Restoration (IR&R) to replace our roof and gutters this summer, and we are very happy with the result! We had taken some storm damage (hail and wind) last winter, and IR&R was able to work with our homeowner's insurance to get the majority of the replacement paid for! We are also very happy that IR&R is a certified installer of Malarkey shingles. Funny name, I know, but these might actually be the best shingles money can buy. We went with Malarkey Legacy shingles, as we want... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

We have been creating five-star experiences since 2018 and have built a team that takes the stress out of roofing and home restoration. With over 1,500 five-star Google reviews and a consistent A+ BBB rating, our reputation speaks for itself, but what we are most proud of is how we treat people when things go wrong. We are available 24/7, we offer financing for eligible clients, and we assist homeowners through the insurance claims process from start to finish. One of our customers had a roof replacement approved through insurance after other contractors said it could not be done, and that is exactly the kind of advocacy we bring to every job.

Yes, navigating a storm damage claim is one of the things we do best. When hail, wind, or rain damages your roof, we conduct a thorough inspection with photo documentation so you have a clear record of everything that was affected. We assist you through the entire claims process, working directly with your insurance company to make sure all damage is properly reported and covered. Homeowners across Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, and the surrounding Indiana communities have relied on us to get approvals that other contractors could not secure.

Yes, and this is one of the things that genuinely sets us apart. Beyond residential roofing, commercial roofing, and gutter installation and repair, we also offer vinyl siding installation, James Hardie siding installation, window replacement, skylight installation, attic insulation, interior and exterior painting, and water and fire restoration services. We even provide mold removal for homes affected by water damage. Whether your home needs one service or a full restoration after a major event, we handle it all under one roof so you are never managing multiple contractors or wondering who is responsible for what.

It starts with a free inspection. We come out, assess the condition of your roof, take photos, and give you an honest recommendation on whether repair or full replacement makes more sense for your situation. If insurance is involved, we help you through that process as well. Once you decide to move forward, we work with you on scheduling, material selection, and financing if needed, and we keep you informed at every stage. Our goal is to make a stressful situation feel manageable, not more complicated.

Yes, community involvement is a core part of who we are, not just a line on a website. We proudly support Fountains of Hope, which works to provide clean drinking water in third-world nations, and Habitat for Humanity, where we provide free roofing for homes being built or renovated for families in need. For us, being a good roofing company means being a good neighbor, and the work we do in the Indianapolis community and beyond is a reflection of the values we bring to every project we take on.
