East 71st Street Reroof with Full Redecking, White Gutters and an Allstate Membrane Supplement

Project Description

An interior drip prompted the homeowner on East 71st Street in Indianapolis to seek urgent help with a leaking roof. Indy Roof & Restoration developed a house reroof, full redecking, fascia and gutter scope funded through an Allstate claim together with retail financing. The planned decking replacement was part of the construction agreement before installation, rather than an unspecified repair allowance.

The roof order was completed in July 2025 using Malarkey Highlander NEX AR shingles and matching RidgeFlex hip and ridge shingles in Brilliant Black. The redecking scope included 86 sheets of seven-sixteenths-inch OSB, with construction photographs documenting delaminated existing decking. Arctic Seal membrane was specified across the low-slope roof, together with Smart Start starter, six black Lomanco static vents and white roof-edge metal. Flashing work covered 12 linear feet of step flashing, six linear feet of wall flashing and the small chimney, while the hip-and-ridge installation covered 178 linear feet.

The exterior scope called for 248 linear feet of fascia replacement along the rakes and eaves, painted White. The separately completed gutter order specified 251 linear feet of six-inch White gutters and five three-by-four-inch downspouts.

Post-production documentation supported a supplement request for ice-and-water protection. Allstate accepted the membrane supplement after reviewing tear-off photographs showing existing protection at the eaves and valleys, and an August update recorded a revised insurance scope with depreciation released.

Black Oak Roof Replacement and Redeck on Granner Drive in Indianapolis

Project Description

The sale of a home on Granner Drive in Indianapolis brought both the seller and buyer into this retail roof-replacement project. The seller received the roofing contract, while the color selection and plan for existing gutter guards were coordinated with the buyer. The home's low-slope roof called for a different underlayment approach than a typical steep-slope shingle installation. The roofing plan used Malarkey Arctic Seal self-adhered ice-and-water protection throughout the roof beneath Highlander NEX AR shingles in Black Oak, with matching RidgeFlex hip-and-ridge shingles and Smart Start starter. A planned re-deck formed a substantial part of the work, with the completed order including installation of 60 OSB sheets. The roofing scope also included hip-and-ridge work, step and wall flashing, a chimney-flashing detail and ventilation components. The existing gutters were retained, and the gutter guards were removed and left on site for the buyer to decide how to use them. Site planning also called for temporary OSB protection over the rear deck while the roofing crew worked around that part of the home. The main roofing installation took place in July 2025. The completed scope combined the replacement roof covering and decking with an underlayment plan tailored to the low-slope configuration and the buyer's gutter-guard preference.

These guys are excellent. Extremely professional, reliable, and . communicative. Lavell was my project manager and he was awesome. I had to get him out for quotes several times for a project on a house I was buying (sellers were trying to hide problems and fake fixes but weren't smart enough to get away with it) and Lavell happily kept coming back out and getting me the info I needed each time. When it came time to complete the job, the crew did fantastic work - very thorough and looks great. Th... Read more

IndyRoof & Restoration did a great job from beginning to completion. The field inspector, Mark Sopke, was my initial and ongoing contact through the entire project. Can’t think of anything else he could have done to make the process easier. Highly recommend both Mark and IndyRoof. I even called my insurance agent and told them how good they were.

We hired Indy Roof & Restoration (IR&R) to replace our roof and gutters this summer, and we are very happy with the result! We had taken some storm damage (hail and wind) last winter, and IR&R was able to work with our homeowner's insurance to get the majority of the replacement paid for! We are also very happy that IR&R is a certified installer of Malarkey shingles. Funny name, I know, but these might actually be the best shingles money can buy. We went with Malarkey Legacy shingles, as we want... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

We have been creating five-star experiences since 2018 and have built a team that takes the stress out of roofing and home restoration. With over 1,500 five-star Google reviews and a consistent A+ BBB rating, our reputation speaks for itself, but what we are most proud of is how we treat people when things go wrong. We are available 24/7, we offer financing for eligible clients, and we assist homeowners through the insurance claims process from start to finish. One of our customers had a roof replacement approved through insurance after other contractors said it could not be done, and that is exactly the kind of advocacy we bring to every job.

Yes, navigating a storm damage claim is one of the things we do best. When hail, wind, or rain damages your roof, we conduct a thorough inspection with photo documentation so you have a clear record of everything that was affected. We assist you through the entire claims process, working directly with your insurance company to make sure all damage is properly reported and covered. Homeowners across Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, and the surrounding Indiana communities have relied on us to get approvals that other contractors could not secure.

Yes, and this is one of the things that genuinely sets us apart. Beyond residential roofing, commercial roofing, and gutter installation and repair, we also offer vinyl siding installation, James Hardie siding installation, window replacement, skylight installation, attic insulation, interior and exterior painting, and water and fire restoration services. We even provide mold removal for homes affected by water damage. Whether your home needs one service or a full restoration after a major event, we handle it all under one roof so you are never managing multiple contractors or wondering who is responsible for what.

It starts with a free inspection. We come out, assess the condition of your roof, take photos, and give you an honest recommendation on whether repair or full replacement makes more sense for your situation. If insurance is involved, we help you through that process as well. Once you decide to move forward, we work with you on scheduling, material selection, and financing if needed, and we keep you informed at every stage. Our goal is to make a stressful situation feel manageable, not more complicated.

Yes, community involvement is a core part of who we are, not just a line on a website. We proudly support Fountains of Hope, which works to provide clean drinking water in third-world nations, and Habitat for Humanity, where we provide free roofing for homes being built or renovated for families in need. For us, being a good roofing company means being a good neighbor, and the work we do in the Indianapolis community and beyond is a reflection of the values we bring to every project we take on.
