Charcoal Grey Cambridge Roof Around Three Dormers in Indianapolis


Project Description


Three dormers rise from the steep front roof of this Indianapolis, Indiana, home, above a covered porch and brick exterior. The July 2025 roof replacement extended around those dormers and onto the lower roof over the attached garage. Between the taller main house and the garage, connecting roof sections brought the different heights together. The work followed this entire arrangement, including the broad slopes, smaller dormer roofs, and adjoining valleys. On July 18, removing the old roof covering exposed OSB decking across the main roof and lower sections. ABC Pro Guard 20 synthetic roofing underlayment covered the prepared slopes before the new shingles were laid. The underlayment was secured with capped fasteners, with its printed lines running across the roof. IKO Cambridge shingle bundles in Charcoal Grey were staged beside the garage, along with IKO Hip & Ridge material. As installation progressed, finished shingle courses spread across the lower roof while work continued on the steeper upper slopes. The dormer walls created several places where shingles met vertical siding. Metal flashing formed a narrow border at these transitions between the new shingle courses and the siding. The finished roof carried the Charcoal Grey shingles around each dormer and across the connected garage roof, with cap shingles following the ridges. From the front, the three windows remained framed by their light siding, set within the newly covered roof above the porch.

Chateau Green Reroof and Natural Clay Siding in Two Financed Valley Creek Phases


Project Description


The homeowner on Valley Creek East Lane in Indianapolis wanted to retain the home’s green roof color while replacing a roof with a missing shingle, exposed fiberglass and evidence of an earlier repair. Indy Roof & Restoration’s inspection also recorded absent drip edge. The family selected a full house reroof with financing.


The roof was completed in June 2025 using Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration AR shingles and ProEdge hip and ridge shingles in Chateau Green. WeatherLock Flex ice-and-water membrane, RhinoRoof UDL and Starter Strip Plus accompanied VentSure ridge ventilation and a Lifetime pipe flashing. Black drip edge and gutter apron were included, together with 71 linear feet of hip and ridge, 21 linear feet of step flashing and 16 linear feet of wall flashing. A crew note confirms that one damaged decking sheet was replaced.


A separate siding amendment extended the financed exterior project after the roof phase. Indy confirmed material availability and coordinated a July installation of CertainTeed MainStreet vinyl siding in Natural Clay. The completed siding order included matching channels and inside and outside corners, house wrap and seam tape, window-and-door flashing tape, and coordinated mounting blocks, exhaust vents and gable vents.


The roof and later siding were handled as separate financed construction phases.
