Project Description


An active leak and storm-exposed roof decking prompted a Pendleton homeowner to move quickly toward replacing the house roof. Indy Roof & Restoration presented the replacement estimate by phone, and the homeowner chose a customer-paid retail project.


The Weather Shield roof used Malarkey Highlander NEX AR shingles in Storm Gray with coordinating RidgeFlex hip-and-ridge shingles. Arctic Seal ice-and-water protection, RhinoRoof UDL synthetic underlayment and Smart Start starter shingles accompanied the new field shingles. The assembly included eight black static vents, black perimeter metal, pipe flashing and flashing at the large chimney.


The roof replacement was completed on July 23, 2025, with 69 linear feet of hip-and-ridge work, 26 linear feet of step flashing and four linear feet of wall flashing included in the construction order. The crew checked the storm-exposed decking during tear-off, and the subsequent project review confirmed that two OSB sheets had been replaced. That actual deck requirement was substantially smaller than the allowance built into the original estimate.


The following day, the gutter crew cleaned the existing five-inch system and installed 59 linear feet of Dark Bronze gutter guards. Completion photos were provided to the homeowner during closeout.

IKO Cambridge Harvard Slate Roof and Partial Siding Replacement in McCordsville, Indiana


Project Description


A homeowner on Nottingham Lane in McCordsville worked with Indy Roof & Restoration on a house roof replacement and siding work on the left elevation. Preparing the siding estimate required a different measurement approach because the aerial wall-report service did not yet show the home in its coverage. Our team obtained a HOVER report and used it to prepare the left-elevation estimate. The siding scope also depended on identifying the existing product. A sample was sent through the ITEL review process, and the project team that the siding remained available. The team proceeded with the specified elevation. The final siding order called for Royal Estate Traditional D4 vinyl siding on the left elevation. The homeowner wanted the new roof color to stay close to the home’s existing appearance. Our team shared the IKO Cambridge color options and finalized the roofing order with Harvard Slate shingles. White mounting blocks were for the siding work, and the roof and siding scopes were placed in separate crew orders. The house roof was completed on September 5, 2025, followed by the left-elevation siding on September 8. The new roofing combined IKO Cambridge AR shingles with matching IKO hip-and-ridge shingles in Harvard Slate. The exterior work covered the full house roof and the designated siding elevation.
