Roof and Water Damage Restoration on Buell Drive in Avon, Indiana

Project Description

A continuing leak around flashing led to a retail house-and-shed restoration on Buell Drive in Avon. Indy Roof & Restoration completed the roofing July 18, 2025, using IKO Cambridge AR in Driftwood with matching Hip and Ridge 12 shingles. Leading Edge Plus starter, ABC Pro Guard 20 and Tarco MS300 supported the assembly, with membrane specified over the entire low-slope sections. Quarrix ridge ventilation, black drip edge and gutter apron accompanied 38 linear feet of step flashing, 44 linear feet of wall flashing and large-chimney flashing. One rotten roof-deck sheet was identified for OSB replacement, and a signed change order addressed chimney-wall and trim rot. The replacement roofing and flashing addressed the reported water entry around the flashing.

Inside, water damage repair addressed damaged drywall and the existing textured ceiling. Preparation protected furniture, fixtures and exposed beams before flat-white ceiling painting. A separate completed interior order covered that work, and the production team confirmed with the homeowner in August that all trades were finished.

The project began with an inspection request about missing soffit, followed by review of roof and gutter damage, interior finishes and exterior trim. State Farm claim information informed planning, while the signed construction package proceeded as retail work. Temporary tarping preceded permanent roof construction, with siding and gutter crews coordinated afterward.

Selected siding areas received CertainTeed MainStreet in Herringbone with housewrap, matching channels and trim. Replacement trim included second-story front windows, the rear-left corner and chimney work. The final labor scope totaled 182 linear feet installed and painted. Field coordination matched the trim and metal wrap in Almond, separate from the Wicker drainage color.

The gutter crew installed 116 linear feet of six-inch Wicker gutters with three-by-four-inch downspout sections. It also wrapped 41 linear feet of fascia behind the first-story gutters. These exterior trades accompanied the house-and-shed roofing and completed interior work.

Driftwood Roof and Six-Inch Gutters with Separate Retail Trim Work in Indianapolis

Project Description

A home on Emerald Bay Lane in Indianapolis needed a house roof replacement alongside work on rotten trim and rear-elevation fascia. Indy Roof & Restoration handled the roof and gutters under an insurance restoration agreement and the additional trim repairs under a separate retail contract. The retail work addressed trim facing the roof, the front dead-valley area and outside corners where trim had fallen away. Both contracts were coordinated for construction after the roof claim's appraisal process.

Before appraisal, an insurance supplement increased the claim scope. The approved changes added ice-and-water protection and gutter/downspout work and changed the hip-and-ridge allowance to laminated roofing. The homeowner's updated agreement included a customer-paid upgrade from the carrier's five-inch gutter allowance to six-inch gutters.

The house roof received Driftwood IKO Cambridge AR shingles with matching IKO Hip and Ridge 12 AR caps. IKO Leading Edge Plus starter, Tarco LeakBarrier MS300 ice-and-water protection and ABC Pro Guard 20 synthetic underlayment formed the specified supporting assembly. Roofing included 115 feet of hip and ridge, 70 feet of step flashing and a chimney flashing assembly. Thirteen black Lomanco static vents, black drip edge and gutter apron, and pipe flashing accompanied the shingles.

The roofing crew's instructions called for care around lawn ornaments and flowers, and the homeowner was advised to move portable items before installation. The roof was completed on August 4, 2025. Separately contracted trim work followed the next day, with rear-elevation fascia replacement on August 6. Those repairs were tracked apart from the roof-and-gutter insurance agreement.

The retail fascia order covered 36 feet of rear-elevation gutterboard, and the trim order required dimensions to be checked against the existing profile before installation. Matching paint was to be obtained from Sherwin-Williams and left on site for the exterior crew. During construction, a change order recorded a switch from six pine trim boards to LP material to match the home. That adjustment was distinct from the original TruExterior material order.

The gutter crew installed six-inch gutters in Norwegian Wood, totaling 132 feet across the two stories. The order included seven first-story downspouts, one second-story downspout and seven upper-to-lower-story connections in three-by-four-inch sizing. Gutter labor was recorded complete on August 6. After the roof and exterior phases, Indy Roof & Restoration requested recoverable depreciation from the insurance carrier.

These guys are excellent. Extremely professional, reliable, and . communicative. Lavell was my project manager and he was awesome. I had to get him out for quotes several times for a project on a house I was buying (sellers were trying to hide problems and fake fixes but weren't smart enough to get away with it) and Lavell happily kept coming back out and getting me the info I needed each time. When it came time to complete the job, the crew did fantastic work - very thorough and looks great. Th... Read more

IndyRoof & Restoration did a great job from beginning to completion. The field inspector, Mark Sopke, was my initial and ongoing contact through the entire project. Can’t think of anything else he could have done to make the process easier. Highly recommend both Mark and IndyRoof. I even called my insurance agent and told them how good they were.

We hired Indy Roof & Restoration (IR&R) to replace our roof and gutters this summer, and we are very happy with the result! We had taken some storm damage (hail and wind) last winter, and IR&R was able to work with our homeowner's insurance to get the majority of the replacement paid for! We are also very happy that IR&R is a certified installer of Malarkey shingles. Funny name, I know, but these might actually be the best shingles money can buy. We went with Malarkey Legacy shingles, as we want... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

We have been creating five-star experiences since 2018 and have built a team that takes the stress out of roofing and home restoration. With over 1,500 five-star Google reviews and a consistent A+ BBB rating, our reputation speaks for itself, but what we are most proud of is how we treat people when things go wrong. We are available 24/7, we offer financing for eligible clients, and we assist homeowners through the insurance claims process from start to finish. One of our customers had a roof replacement approved through insurance after other contractors said it could not be done, and that is exactly the kind of advocacy we bring to every job.

Yes, navigating a storm damage claim is one of the things we do best. When hail, wind, or rain damages your roof, we conduct a thorough inspection with photo documentation so you have a clear record of everything that was affected. We assist you through the entire claims process, working directly with your insurance company to make sure all damage is properly reported and covered. Homeowners across Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, and the surrounding Indiana communities have relied on us to get approvals that other contractors could not secure.

Yes, and this is one of the things that genuinely sets us apart. Beyond residential roofing, commercial roofing, and gutter installation and repair, we also offer vinyl siding installation, James Hardie siding installation, window replacement, skylight installation, attic insulation, interior and exterior painting, and water and fire restoration services. We even provide mold removal for homes affected by water damage. Whether your home needs one service or a full restoration after a major event, we handle it all under one roof so you are never managing multiple contractors or wondering who is responsible for what.

It starts with a free inspection. We come out, assess the condition of your roof, take photos, and give you an honest recommendation on whether repair or full replacement makes more sense for your situation. If insurance is involved, we help you through that process as well. Once you decide to move forward, we work with you on scheduling, material selection, and financing if needed, and we keep you informed at every stage. Our goal is to make a stressful situation feel manageable, not more complicated.

Yes, community involvement is a core part of who we are, not just a line on a website. We proudly support Fountains of Hope, which works to provide clean drinking water in third-world nations, and Habitat for Humanity, where we provide free roofing for homes being built or renovated for families in need. For us, being a good roofing company means being a good neighbor, and the work we do in the Indianapolis community and beyond is a reflection of the values we bring to every project we take on.
