Dual Brown Roof and Royal Brown Gutters Before a Fishers Home Listing

Project Description

A Fishers homeowner wanted the roof and gutters replaced promptly so she could prepare to list the house the following month. Indy Roof & Restoration met with the insurance adjuster, obtained approval for both trades and coordinated the construction schedule around that planned listing. Financing was arranged for the project amount beyond the homeowner's deductible.

The house received IKO Cambridge AR shingles in Dual Brown with matching hip-and-ridge shingles and Leading Edge Plus starter. The shingles were accompanied by ABC Pro Guard 20 synthetic underlayment and Tarco LeakBarrier MS300 ice-and-water protection. Royal Brown drip edge, gutter apron, step flashing and trim coil coordinated the perimeter metal with the new drainage system.

The roofing order included 68 linear feet of hip and ridge, 23 linear feet of step flashing and 20 linear feet of wall flashing. Quarrix ridge ventilation and new pipe flashing were incorporated into the roof, with the crew also working on steep and second-story areas. The roof and gutter phases were completed in early August.

The new drainage system used 92 linear feet of six-inch Royal Brown gutters, split between first- and second-story roof edges. Three-by-four-inch downspouts served those elevations, including a connection carrying water from the second story to the first.

Post-construction supplementation secured approval for starter, step and wall flashing, and ladder-jack allowances, increasing the insurance scope. The adjuster also released depreciation.

Silverwood Shingle Roofing and Re-Decking After Insurance Appraisal in Shirley

Project Description

Indy Roof & Restoration replaced the shingled portion of a residential house roof in Shirley, Indiana. The insurance project followed an appraisal process, with the final contracted work focused on the house's shingle roofing. The rear modified-bitumen roof sections and existing gutters remained in place.

The replacement used Malarkey Highlander NEX AR shingles in Silverwood with matching Silverwood RidgeFlex hip-and-ridge shingles. The scope included steep roof sections, step and wall flashing, chimney flashing, synthetic underlayment and Black edge metal. Extra ice-and-water protection was specified for the first-story low-slope section at the front-right corner.

During construction, the crew found spaced decking and two existing shingle layers. The completed work included re-decking with fifty sheets of OSB and removal of the additional shingle layer. The existing lightning-rod system was also removed as part of the agreed roofing scope.

Installation took place in August 2025. The additional decking and tear-off work were documented after construction for consideration through the appraisal representatives. A separate request sought release of the remaining depreciation, and the insurer later confirmed that depreciation had already been released on the claim.

These guys are excellent. Extremely professional, reliable, and . communicative. Lavell was my project manager and he was awesome. I had to get him out for quotes several times for a project on a house I was buying (sellers were trying to hide problems and fake fixes but weren't smart enough to get away with it) and Lavell happily kept coming back out and getting me the info I needed each time. When it came time to complete the job, the crew did fantastic work - very thorough and looks great. Th... Read more

IndyRoof & Restoration did a great job from beginning to completion. The field inspector, Mark Sopke, was my initial and ongoing contact through the entire project. Can’t think of anything else he could have done to make the process easier. Highly recommend both Mark and IndyRoof. I even called my insurance agent and told them how good they were.

We hired Indy Roof & Restoration (IR&R) to replace our roof and gutters this summer, and we are very happy with the result! We had taken some storm damage (hail and wind) last winter, and IR&R was able to work with our homeowner's insurance to get the majority of the replacement paid for! We are also very happy that IR&R is a certified installer of Malarkey shingles. Funny name, I know, but these might actually be the best shingles money can buy. We went with Malarkey Legacy shingles, as we want... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

We have been creating five-star experiences since 2018 and have built a team that takes the stress out of roofing and home restoration. With over 1,500 five-star Google reviews and a consistent A+ BBB rating, our reputation speaks for itself, but what we are most proud of is how we treat people when things go wrong. We are available 24/7, we offer financing for eligible clients, and we assist homeowners through the insurance claims process from start to finish. One of our customers had a roof replacement approved through insurance after other contractors said it could not be done, and that is exactly the kind of advocacy we bring to every job.

Yes, navigating a storm damage claim is one of the things we do best. When hail, wind, or rain damages your roof, we conduct a thorough inspection with photo documentation so you have a clear record of everything that was affected. We assist you through the entire claims process, working directly with your insurance company to make sure all damage is properly reported and covered. Homeowners across Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, and the surrounding Indiana communities have relied on us to get approvals that other contractors could not secure.

Yes, and this is one of the things that genuinely sets us apart. Beyond residential roofing, commercial roofing, and gutter installation and repair, we also offer vinyl siding installation, James Hardie siding installation, window replacement, skylight installation, attic insulation, interior and exterior painting, and water and fire restoration services. We even provide mold removal for homes affected by water damage. Whether your home needs one service or a full restoration after a major event, we handle it all under one roof so you are never managing multiple contractors or wondering who is responsible for what.

It starts with a free inspection. We come out, assess the condition of your roof, take photos, and give you an honest recommendation on whether repair or full replacement makes more sense for your situation. If insurance is involved, we help you through that process as well. Once you decide to move forward, we work with you on scheduling, material selection, and financing if needed, and we keep you informed at every stage. Our goal is to make a stressful situation feel manageable, not more complicated.

Yes, community involvement is a core part of who we are, not just a line on a website. We proudly support Fountains of Hope, which works to provide clean drinking water in third-world nations, and Habitat for Humanity, where we provide free roofing for homes being built or renovated for families in need. For us, being a good roofing company means being a good neighbor, and the work we do in the Indianapolis community and beyond is a reflection of the values we bring to every project we take on.
