Insurance Roof and Gutter Replacement in Indianapolis, Indiana

This residential insurance restoration in Indianapolis, Indiana involved a full roof replacement and full gutter replacement following storm damage. The homeowner initially reported blown-off and loose shingles after a storm, prompting an inspection of the home and additional structures on the property. The project was handled through a Travelers insurance claim.

Following the adjuster inspection, the roof and gutters were approved for replacement. The project then moved through the insurance restoration process, including a post-production supplement to address additional roofing components discovered or required during construction.

During the roof replacement, two sheets of OSB decking were required to provide a suitable roofing surface. Supplemental documentation also addressed ice-and-water protection and ridge-related roofing components. The roof work was followed by the full gutter replacement, completing the primary exterior restoration.

A metal carport was also evaluated during the project, and replacement of its metal panels was considered separately. Ultimately, the carport work was excluded from the completed project, keeping the final restoration focused on the home’s roof and gutter systems.

Financed Vista Reroof and Two-Phase Gutter Work on Sotheby Lane

Project Description

An inspection on Sotheby Lane in Indianapolis found roof damage associated with a tree at the front of the home and separately observed hail damage. The Grange claim concerned the fallen tree. The owners chose a retail roof-and-gutter project financed, allowing replacement to move forward.

Indy Roof & Restoration installed Malarkey Vista AR shingles in Sienna Blend with matching RidgeFlex hip and ridge shingles. The roof assembly included Arctic Seal ice-and-water membrane, Smart Start starter shingles, RhinoRoof UDL synthetic underlayment and Quarrix ridge ventilation. Extra membrane was specified for the low-slope front porch, while Royal Brown edge metal coordinated with the selected shingle color.

The initial gutter phase installed 110 linear feet of six-inch Cocoa Brown gutters and three three-by-four-inch downspouts. The roof and initial drainage work were completed in August 2025.

After the first gutter phase, the owners added a second phase at the front of the home. Indy replaced a 14-foot gutter section and relocated a downspout to the front gutter run under a separate completed September order. The original roof-and-gutter work was financed, while the added drainage work was a separate retail job.

These guys are excellent. Extremely professional, reliable, and . communicative. Lavell was my project manager and he was awesome. I had to get him out for quotes several times for a project on a house I was buying (sellers were trying to hide problems and fake fixes but weren't smart enough to get away with it) and Lavell happily kept coming back out and getting me the info I needed each time. When it came time to complete the job, the crew did fantastic work - very thorough and looks great. Th... Read more

IndyRoof & Restoration did a great job from beginning to completion. The field inspector, Mark Sopke, was my initial and ongoing contact through the entire project. Can’t think of anything else he could have done to make the process easier. Highly recommend both Mark and IndyRoof. I even called my insurance agent and told them how good they were.

We hired Indy Roof & Restoration (IR&R) to replace our roof and gutters this summer, and we are very happy with the result! We had taken some storm damage (hail and wind) last winter, and IR&R was able to work with our homeowner's insurance to get the majority of the replacement paid for! We are also very happy that IR&R is a certified installer of Malarkey shingles. Funny name, I know, but these might actually be the best shingles money can buy. We went with Malarkey Legacy shingles, as we want... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

We have been creating five-star experiences since 2018 and have built a team that takes the stress out of roofing and home restoration. With over 1,500 five-star Google reviews and a consistent A+ BBB rating, our reputation speaks for itself, but what we are most proud of is how we treat people when things go wrong. We are available 24/7, we offer financing for eligible clients, and we assist homeowners through the insurance claims process from start to finish. One of our customers had a roof replacement approved through insurance after other contractors said it could not be done, and that is exactly the kind of advocacy we bring to every job.

Yes, navigating a storm damage claim is one of the things we do best. When hail, wind, or rain damages your roof, we conduct a thorough inspection with photo documentation so you have a clear record of everything that was affected. We assist you through the entire claims process, working directly with your insurance company to make sure all damage is properly reported and covered. Homeowners across Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, and the surrounding Indiana communities have relied on us to get approvals that other contractors could not secure.

Yes, and this is one of the things that genuinely sets us apart. Beyond residential roofing, commercial roofing, and gutter installation and repair, we also offer vinyl siding installation, James Hardie siding installation, window replacement, skylight installation, attic insulation, interior and exterior painting, and water and fire restoration services. We even provide mold removal for homes affected by water damage. Whether your home needs one service or a full restoration after a major event, we handle it all under one roof so you are never managing multiple contractors or wondering who is responsible for what.

It starts with a free inspection. We come out, assess the condition of your roof, take photos, and give you an honest recommendation on whether repair or full replacement makes more sense for your situation. If insurance is involved, we help you through that process as well. Once you decide to move forward, we work with you on scheduling, material selection, and financing if needed, and we keep you informed at every stage. Our goal is to make a stressful situation feel manageable, not more complicated.

Yes, community involvement is a core part of who we are, not just a line on a website. We proudly support Fountains of Hope, which works to provide clean drinking water in third-world nations, and Habitat for Humanity, where we provide free roofing for homes being built or renovated for families in need. For us, being a good roofing company means being a good neighbor, and the work we do in the Indianapolis community and beyond is a reflection of the values we bring to every project we take on.
