Driftwood Oakridge Roof Replacement After Hail and Wind Damage in Indianapolis

Project Description

A June inspection of this Indianapolis home found hail strikes on the gutters and extensive wind damage across the roof, including flipped and torn shingles. The homeowner pursued an insurance claim for the house roof, and Indy Roof & Restoration coordinated the adjuster inspection, scope review and replacement. By the time construction was being arranged in August 2025, the homeowner also reported leaks during rain.

Claim funding required coordination before the roof could be scheduled. The homeowner initially received insurance funds without the accompanying scope of loss; the team obtained that scope, reviewed the contract and color selections, and worked through mortgage-check endorsement. Once the check was collected in August, the project moved into production for September.

The house roof was replaced on September 11 with Owens Corning Oakridge AR shingles in Driftwood and matching ProEdge hip and ridge shingles. Tarco LeakBarrier MS300 ice and water protection, RhinoRoof UDL synthetic underlayment and Owens Corning Starter Strip Plus formed the supporting roof system. Nine black Lomanco static vents accompanied Cameo drip edge and gutter apron, with pipe flashing and replacement flashing at adjoining walls.

The roofing work included 22 linear feet of step flashing and 21 linear feet of wall flashing, as well as access to the home's two-story roof sections. An unused satellite dish was removed and discarded. Pool protection was included in the crew's preparation instructions for the house-only replacement.

The project manager completed the follow-up inspection and confirmed the roof met the company's quality standards. After installation, an insurance supplement for ice and water protection, starter shingles and ridge material was approved, increasing the claim estimate. The certificate of completion and final project documentation were sent to the adjuster, who subsequently confirmed that payment had been issued.

Heather Roofing and Gutters on South Franklin Road in Greenwood

Project Description

The South Franklin Road project in Greenwood covered the house and detached garage roofs. The project scope included 36 squares of shingle tear-off and installation using Malarkey Highlander NEX in Heather. It also measures 170 linear feet of hip-and-ridge work across the included roofs. Restoration of the existing lightning-rod cable and components was part of the roofing order. That work connects to the roof replacement because the cable system had to be accounted for as the roof covering changed. The project scope included 283 linear feet of six-inch gutters and seven downspouts. It also includes 257 linear feet of standard gutter guard. These drainage components form a second completed phase for the house-and-garage project.

These guys are excellent. Extremely professional, reliable, and . communicative. Lavell was my project manager and he was awesome. I had to get him out for quotes several times for a project on a house I was buying (sellers were trying to hide problems and fake fixes but weren't smart enough to get away with it) and Lavell happily kept coming back out and getting me the info I needed each time. When it came time to complete the job, the crew did fantastic work - very thorough and looks great. Th... Read more

IndyRoof & Restoration did a great job from beginning to completion. The field inspector, Mark Sopke, was my initial and ongoing contact through the entire project. Can’t think of anything else he could have done to make the process easier. Highly recommend both Mark and IndyRoof. I even called my insurance agent and told them how good they were.

We hired Indy Roof & Restoration (IR&R) to replace our roof and gutters this summer, and we are very happy with the result! We had taken some storm damage (hail and wind) last winter, and IR&R was able to work with our homeowner's insurance to get the majority of the replacement paid for! We are also very happy that IR&R is a certified installer of Malarkey shingles. Funny name, I know, but these might actually be the best shingles money can buy. We went with Malarkey Legacy shingles, as we want... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

We have been creating five-star experiences since 2018 and have built a team that takes the stress out of roofing and home restoration. With over 1,500 five-star Google reviews and a consistent A+ BBB rating, our reputation speaks for itself, but what we are most proud of is how we treat people when things go wrong. We are available 24/7, we offer financing for eligible clients, and we assist homeowners through the insurance claims process from start to finish. One of our customers had a roof replacement approved through insurance after other contractors said it could not be done, and that is exactly the kind of advocacy we bring to every job.

Yes, navigating a storm damage claim is one of the things we do best. When hail, wind, or rain damages your roof, we conduct a thorough inspection with photo documentation so you have a clear record of everything that was affected. We assist you through the entire claims process, working directly with your insurance company to make sure all damage is properly reported and covered. Homeowners across Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, and the surrounding Indiana communities have relied on us to get approvals that other contractors could not secure.

Yes, and this is one of the things that genuinely sets us apart. Beyond residential roofing, commercial roofing, and gutter installation and repair, we also offer vinyl siding installation, James Hardie siding installation, window replacement, skylight installation, attic insulation, interior and exterior painting, and water and fire restoration services. We even provide mold removal for homes affected by water damage. Whether your home needs one service or a full restoration after a major event, we handle it all under one roof so you are never managing multiple contractors or wondering who is responsible for what.

It starts with a free inspection. We come out, assess the condition of your roof, take photos, and give you an honest recommendation on whether repair or full replacement makes more sense for your situation. If insurance is involved, we help you through that process as well. Once you decide to move forward, we work with you on scheduling, material selection, and financing if needed, and we keep you informed at every stage. Our goal is to make a stressful situation feel manageable, not more complicated.

Yes, community involvement is a core part of who we are, not just a line on a website. We proudly support Fountains of Hope, which works to provide clean drinking water in third-world nations, and Habitat for Humanity, where we provide free roofing for homes being built or renovated for families in need. For us, being a good roofing company means being a good neighbor, and the work we do in the Indianapolis community and beyond is a reflection of the values we bring to every project we take on.
