Roof and Water Damage Repairs on West 60th Street, Indianapolis

Project Description

Leaking around the eaves of a newer addition led to a partial roof replacement on West 60th Street in Indianapolis. Indy Roof & Restoration completed the designated house-roof section September 9, 2025, under a retail agreement. The re-deck used 20 OSB sheets, with two sheets remaining after construction. IKO Cambridge AR shingles in Dual Gray and compatible IKO Hip and Ridge 12 shingles formed the covering, supported by Tarco LeakBarrier MS300 for the low-slope installation and IKO Leading Edge Plus starter. Two black Lomanco static vents, black drip edge and gutter apron accompanied 38 feet of hip and ridge and seven feet of step flashing. Existing gutters remained, with 51 feet of guards detached during roofing. This replacement addressed the addition’s reported eave-area leaking.

The interior water damage repair followed under an insurance scope with a homeowner-paid deductible. After a site meeting to prepare the separate bid, the interior crew began October 20 and completed its order October 22. Crews removed existing drywall from two wall areas measuring 18 by eight feet and 13 by eight feet, then hung replacement panels, taped and finished them. Painting included the walls, ceilings and trim. The 252-square-foot ceiling scope used Sherwin-Williams Flat White paint, and the addition received replacement of the upper door trim within a 15-foot trim scope.

The two contracts kept retail roofing and insurance interior restoration distinct while coordinating the construction sequence. The interior crew met on site to prepare its separate estimate before construction dates were set. Its scope combined panel replacement with finishing of the surrounding walls, ceiling and trim rather than painting alone.

After the interior phase, the project team confirmed completion of the original insurance-scope items and sent completion records. The carrier was asked to release depreciation, and CSAA’s claims examiner confirmed a final payment directly to the homeowner.

Brilliant Black Vista Roof with Skylight Reflashing and Gutters in Bloomington

Project Description

A leak near the skylights led to temporary tarping at a home on Bellemeade Avenue in Bloomington, Indiana. The insurance restoration combined a full roof replacement with gutters and roof-to-wall trim work. With eleven existing skylights to reflash, Indy Roof & Restoration arranged the roofing schedule around having a project manager available on site.

The new roof used Malarkey Vista AR shingles in Brilliant Black with coordinating RidgeFlex hip-and-ridge shingles. Malarkey Arctic Seal ice-and-water protection, ABC Pro Guard 20 synthetic underlayment and Smart Start starter shingles supported the assembly. The work included 97 linear feet of hip and ridge, 125 linear feet of step flashing, 98 linear feet of wall flashing and a large chimney flashing, along with Quarrix ridge ventilation and black edge metals.

All eleven existing skylights received replacement flashing kits: ten VELUX EDL M08 kits and one EDL S06 kit. The roofing team also reused the existing power vent and its protective cage. At roof-to-wall areas, existing trim was detached and reset where suitable, while new TruExterior trim was cut into other sections and painted to match the house.

The home's tongue-and-groove siding received additional caulking above the Z-flashing, painted flashing and wood filler. The exterior work was confirmed complete.

The gutter phase installed 257 linear feet of black six-inch gutters, three-by-four-inch downspouts and upper-to-lower-story connections. An added first-story downspout was positioned to line up with the downspout above it, and 244 linear feet of Dark Bronze Gutter RX guards accompanied the replacement. After construction, the team submitted a supplement for roofing protection, flashing, additional skylight kits and trim work. Approved supplements were added to the insurance worksheet in December, followed by a request for recoverable depreciation.

These guys are excellent. Extremely professional, reliable, and . communicative. Lavell was my project manager and he was awesome. I had to get him out for quotes several times for a project on a house I was buying (sellers were trying to hide problems and fake fixes but weren't smart enough to get away with it) and Lavell happily kept coming back out and getting me the info I needed each time. When it came time to complete the job, the crew did fantastic work - very thorough and looks great. Th... Read more

IndyRoof & Restoration did a great job from beginning to completion. The field inspector, Mark Sopke, was my initial and ongoing contact through the entire project. Can’t think of anything else he could have done to make the process easier. Highly recommend both Mark and IndyRoof. I even called my insurance agent and told them how good they were.

We hired Indy Roof & Restoration (IR&R) to replace our roof and gutters this summer, and we are very happy with the result! We had taken some storm damage (hail and wind) last winter, and IR&R was able to work with our homeowner's insurance to get the majority of the replacement paid for! We are also very happy that IR&R is a certified installer of Malarkey shingles. Funny name, I know, but these might actually be the best shingles money can buy. We went with Malarkey Legacy shingles, as we want... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

We have been creating five-star experiences since 2018 and have built a team that takes the stress out of roofing and home restoration. With over 1,500 five-star Google reviews and a consistent A+ BBB rating, our reputation speaks for itself, but what we are most proud of is how we treat people when things go wrong. We are available 24/7, we offer financing for eligible clients, and we assist homeowners through the insurance claims process from start to finish. One of our customers had a roof replacement approved through insurance after other contractors said it could not be done, and that is exactly the kind of advocacy we bring to every job.

Yes, navigating a storm damage claim is one of the things we do best. When hail, wind, or rain damages your roof, we conduct a thorough inspection with photo documentation so you have a clear record of everything that was affected. We assist you through the entire claims process, working directly with your insurance company to make sure all damage is properly reported and covered. Homeowners across Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, and the surrounding Indiana communities have relied on us to get approvals that other contractors could not secure.

Yes, and this is one of the things that genuinely sets us apart. Beyond residential roofing, commercial roofing, and gutter installation and repair, we also offer vinyl siding installation, James Hardie siding installation, window replacement, skylight installation, attic insulation, interior and exterior painting, and water and fire restoration services. We even provide mold removal for homes affected by water damage. Whether your home needs one service or a full restoration after a major event, we handle it all under one roof so you are never managing multiple contractors or wondering who is responsible for what.

It starts with a free inspection. We come out, assess the condition of your roof, take photos, and give you an honest recommendation on whether repair or full replacement makes more sense for your situation. If insurance is involved, we help you through that process as well. Once you decide to move forward, we work with you on scheduling, material selection, and financing if needed, and we keep you informed at every stage. Our goal is to make a stressful situation feel manageable, not more complicated.

Yes, community involvement is a core part of who we are, not just a line on a website. We proudly support Fountains of Hope, which works to provide clean drinking water in third-world nations, and Habitat for Humanity, where we provide free roofing for homes being built or renovated for families in need. For us, being a good roofing company means being a good neighbor, and the work we do in the Indianapolis community and beyond is a reflection of the values we bring to every project we take on.
