Black Oak Highlander Roof Replacement on Orth Court in Indianapolis


Project Description


The homeowner on Orth Court in Indianapolis sought a roof replacement and wanted to compare several estimates before choosing a contractor. Indy Roof & Restoration inspected the roof and presented a retail replacement proposal. After reviewing the options, the homeowner returned to reserve an installation date, and the house roof was replaced in October 2025.


Malarkey Highlander NEX AR shingles in Black Oak were paired with matching RidgeFlex hip and ridge shingles. The replacement included 77 linear feet of hip and ridge work, Malarkey Smart Start starter shingles, Arctic Seal ice and water shield and ABC Pro Guard 20 synthetic underlayment.


The accessory finishes followed an all-black color plan. Seven black Lomanco slant-back static vents, black drip edge and black gutter apron were installed with the shingles, along with an IPS pipe flashing at the roof penetration. The crew’s instructions specifically called for care around the gutters during the house roof replacement.


After installation, the team sent the homeowner the requested project photographs. The homeowner later asked for itemized documentation for the insurance company for release of a second check, and Indy Roof & Restoration supplied that breakdown.

Weatherwood Roofing, a Fixed Skylight and White Gutters in Indianapolis


Project Description


The roof replacement at this Indianapolis home combined Weatherwood shingles with black roof components and a new fixed skylight. Indy Roof & Restoration completed the house roofing and a separate gutter installation in October 2025. IKO Cambridge AR shingles covered the roof, with 91 linear feet of hip-and-ridge work. The roofing system included ABC Pro Guard 20 synthetic underlayment and Tarco LeakBarrier ice-and-water protection. Flashing work included 25 linear feet of step flashing and six linear feet of wall flashing, along with new chimney flashing. One VELUX FS deck-mounted fixed skylight was installed with a custom flashing kit. The unit included a solar-powered shade. The gutter phase added 116 linear feet of six-inch gutters in White along the first-story roofline. Four three-by-four-inch downspouts were installed with the gutter system.

We hired Indy Roof & Restoration (IR&R) to replace our roof and gutters this summer, and we are very happy with the result!
