Roof Replacement with Ridge Vent in Indianapolis, Indiana

Project Description

Indy Roof & Restoration replaced the roof on this Indianapolis home in June 2026. The project scope included a new ridge vent along the main roof peak. During installation, the older covering was removed and exposed decking was prepared before the roof was enclosed again. Roofing underlayment covered the deck before the shingle courses went on. At the peak, the work included a vent opening and a finished ridge detail, while the sloped areas received architectural shingles. The roof included the roof's changes in direction and the front-facing slopes above the yard. The finished roof had consistent gray shingle courses and completed ridge work. The roofing project was completed after the June installation.

Estate Gray Roofing, Castle Stone Siding and White Gutters on Saint Peter Street

Project Description

Indy Roof & Restoration completed a 19-square roof replacement across the house and garage on Saint Peter Street in Indianapolis using Owens Corning Oakridge architectural shingles in Estate Gray. The roofing phase included 58 linear feet of hip-and-ridge shingles, extra-layer removal, localized OSB replacement and sister-rafter repairs. The house siding phase removed nine squares of aluminum siding and installed ten squares of CertainTeed MainStreet vinyl siding in Castle Stone. It also installed nine squares of fan-fold wall insulation and included localized wall OSB replacement. The drainage phase installed 125 linear feet of six-inch White first-story gutters on the house and garage. Four three-by-four-inch first-story downspouts completed that gutter scope. On the right and left sides of the garage, crews replaced 60 linear feet of soffit and 60 linear feet of fascia. The soffit was painted White as part of that completed exterior phase. Inside the home, crews prepared two rooms and primed and painted 200 square feet of ceiling. A later completed exterior repair replaced siding pieces at former downspout locations and replaced the window wrap on the right side of the house with smooth White trim coil. Roofing on the house and garage was kept distinct from the house-only siding work.

These guys are excellent. Extremely professional, reliable, and . communicative. Lavell was my project manager and he was awesome. I had to get him out for quotes several times for a project on a house I was buying (sellers were trying to hide problems and fake fixes but weren't smart enough to get away with it) and Lavell happily kept coming back out and getting me the info I needed each time. When it came time to complete the job, the crew did fantastic work - very thorough and looks great. Th... Read more

IndyRoof & Restoration did a great job from beginning to completion. The field inspector, Mark Sopke, was my initial and ongoing contact through the entire project. Can’t think of anything else he could have done to make the process easier. Highly recommend both Mark and IndyRoof. I even called my insurance agent and told them how good they were.

We hired Indy Roof & Restoration (IR&R) to replace our roof and gutters this summer, and we are very happy with the result! We had taken some storm damage (hail and wind) last winter, and IR&R was able to work with our homeowner's insurance to get the majority of the replacement paid for! We are also very happy that IR&R is a certified installer of Malarkey shingles. Funny name, I know, but these might actually be the best shingles money can buy. We went with Malarkey Legacy shingles, as we want... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

We have been creating five-star experiences since 2018 and have built a team that takes the stress out of roofing and home restoration. With over 1,500 five-star Google reviews and a consistent A+ BBB rating, our reputation speaks for itself, but what we are most proud of is how we treat people when things go wrong. We are available 24/7, we offer financing for eligible clients, and we assist homeowners through the insurance claims process from start to finish. One of our customers had a roof replacement approved through insurance after other contractors said it could not be done, and that is exactly the kind of advocacy we bring to every job.

Yes, navigating a storm damage claim is one of the things we do best. When hail, wind, or rain damages your roof, we conduct a thorough inspection with photo documentation so you have a clear record of everything that was affected. We assist you through the entire claims process, working directly with your insurance company to make sure all damage is properly reported and covered. Homeowners across Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, and the surrounding Indiana communities have relied on us to get approvals that other contractors could not secure.

Yes, and this is one of the things that genuinely sets us apart. Beyond residential roofing, commercial roofing, and gutter installation and repair, we also offer vinyl siding installation, James Hardie siding installation, window replacement, skylight installation, attic insulation, interior and exterior painting, and water and fire restoration services. We even provide mold removal for homes affected by water damage. Whether your home needs one service or a full restoration after a major event, we handle it all under one roof so you are never managing multiple contractors or wondering who is responsible for what.

It starts with a free inspection. We come out, assess the condition of your roof, take photos, and give you an honest recommendation on whether repair or full replacement makes more sense for your situation. If insurance is involved, we help you through that process as well. Once you decide to move forward, we work with you on scheduling, material selection, and financing if needed, and we keep you informed at every stage. Our goal is to make a stressful situation feel manageable, not more complicated.

Yes, community involvement is a core part of who we are, not just a line on a website. We proudly support Fountains of Hope, which works to provide clean drinking water in third-world nations, and Habitat for Humanity, where we provide free roofing for homes being built or renovated for families in need. For us, being a good roofing company means being a good neighbor, and the work we do in the Indianapolis community and beyond is a reflection of the values we bring to every project we take on.
