This project Miller's Roofing of Wellsville, PA used GAF Roofing Products including the PRO-Start Eave/Rake Starter Strips along with the 50 year GAF shingle in Weathered Wood. Some roofing contractors try to use a cut-up strip shingle as the "starter" course on your roof. Unfortunately, this sometimes does not ensure adequate wind resistance because of the improperly postioning adhesive, resulting in shingles blowing off your roof. We use the PRO-Start Eaves/Rake Starter Strips that will tightly lock your shingles in place to help prevent any shingle blow off.
