Thanks Ian for the kind words and most importantly trusting us with your project! It was a pleasure.
This company knocks it out of the park. Here are the highlights. Excellent communication. Returned my call quickly, showed up on time for the estimate. Used aerial drone to document the old roof. Described options with no pressure. Crew showed up and went to work. The crew got caught in a rain storm but heroically got tarps on the roof to prevent damage. The roof and gutters turned out great clean up was awesome. Before and after photos provided. Highly recommend!!

Excellent experience with Mountain View Exteriors in April 2025. We solicited multiple quotes for our roofing project and chose Mountain View based upon the thoroughness of their quote , which included drone footage of our roof , and the equally thorough explanation of our shingle quality and color options . The install crew was very professional and did an admirable job of working around our extensive landscaping. Our new roof looks amazing and I would not hesitate to recommend Mountain View to... Frequently Asked Questions
Mountain View Exteriors provides roofing and gutter installation in Knoxville and across East Tennessee. We install asphalt shingle roofs, metal roofs, and seamless gutters for homeowners who want honest service and quality work.
We serve Knoxville and many surrounding East Tennessee communities, including Halls, Fountain City, Powell, Karns, Farragut, Maryville, Alcoa, Oak Ridge, Clinton, Lenoir City, Sevierville, Seymour, Kodak, Dandridge, and nearby areas.
Yes. We install asphalt shingles for Knoxville homeowners and nearby communities. Asphalt roofing works well for many East Tennessee homes because it offers strong protection, a classic look, and a wide range of color options.
Yes. We install metal roofing in Knoxville and across East Tennessee. Metal roofing is a good choice for homeowners who want a long-lasting roof that handles rain, wind, sun, and seasonal temperature swings well.
Asphalt shingles and metal roofing can both work well in Knoxville. Asphalt shingles are popular because they look good, perform well, and fit many budgets. Metal roofing is a strong option for homeowners who want long-term durability and lower maintenance.
It depends on your home, budget, and goals. Metal roofing usually lasts longer and handles tough weather well. Asphalt shingles often cost less upfront and offer plenty of style options. We can help you compare both.
Mountain View Exteriors focuses on roof replacement and gutter installation. If your roof has widespread wear, storm damage, poor installation, leaks, or aging shingles, a full replacement may be the better long-term option.
You may need a new roof if you see missing shingles, curling shingles, granule loss, leaks, dark streaks, sagging areas, soft decking, or repeated roof problems. A roof inspection can help you understand what is going on.
Many asphalt shingle roofs last around 20 to 30 years, depending on the shingle, installation quality, ventilation, sun exposure, trees, and storm damage. Some premium shingles may last longer with the right roof system.
A metal roof can last 50 years or more with proper installation and basic care. It is often chosen for durability, weather resistance, and long-term value.
