We have a 35 year old house that has cedar siding. The south end takes a beating between the winter "Pineapple Express" storms and the summer sun. Over time, even though it was painted regularly, the siding failed. Finding some rot last summer, we decided to have this south end's siding replaced. Do we select cedar again or something like James Hardie "HardiePlank"?
