This was a special request from one of our returning customers who was interested in us custom-building two pent roofs above the front and back of their home that is also used as a dental office. You will see in the pictures that we framed them up and installed Sheffield standing seam metal roofing in black. We also added CertainTeed Mainstreet Vinyl Siding in Natural Clay on the sides and installed (3) recessed lights in the front and (2) in the rear, with photocell switching.

This was a cool project that we got to work on where the homeowner purchased this Farmer's Bank building from 1903 that was recently converted to a home. We got the call when they noticed there were some roof leaks and weren't sure if it could be done with a repair or if it needed its roof to be replaced. After further investigation, it was determined that it was better to replace it entirely. Instead of using traditional slate like what it had originally, it was agreed upon to use DaVinci Slate. This unique composite synthetic material delivers the highest levels of beauty without the typical challenges of a natural slate roof. In addition to replacing the roof, we also replaced the metal shelf gutter and perimeter metal with custom fabricated, 16oz. copper perimeter edge metal, riveted to existing metal cornice.

When it comes to historical buildings, especially ones that have cedar and slate, call the historical restoration experts who have been around for almost 100 years and have worked on plenty of homes like this one.

For this project, we removed (1) the existing layer of asphalt roofing down to the wood deck on all facets of the home and carport roof, along with the downspouts and gutter guards. We installed CertainTeed Landmark asphalt shingles in Weathered Wood, removed and replaced (3) skylights, and then replaced the gutters with a lovely musket brown color to compliment the new roof. Now this customer already had solar panels on their roof so we had to work with the company that originally installed them to detach and reset them when we were finished.
