To preserve the home’s classic architecture while delivering long-term performance, we installed Authentic Slate Shingles from Greenstone Slate (based in VT) using the SlateTec system.


SlateTec is a modern slate installation method that uses an engineered fastening and underlayment system to reduce weight, improve consistency, and eliminate many of the common failure points found in traditional slate roofs—allowing homeowners to achieve an authentic slate appearance with greater reliability and longevity.
