Roundabout Books, a beloved independent bookstore in the Pioneer Valley, has found a new home at 85 Pierce Street in Greenfield—a historic brick and timber building once part of the old Diamond Electric Soap Factory. The new location brings together industrial charm and literary warmth, perfectly reflecting the shop’s character and its commitment to community connection. Known for its thoughtfully curated selection of new, used, and rare books, Roundabout Books continues to serve as a local cultural hub where readers and creatives come together in the heart of Western Massachusetts.


To prepare their new space for decades of use, we installed a Medium Copper Standing Seam Metal Roof—a durable, modern upgrade that complements the building’s classic red brick and wood siding. The crisp lines of the standing seam panels give the structure a clean, timeless finish while offering unmatched protection against New England’s weather. This roof was also designed with the future in mind, ready to support a solar panel system that will help the store reduce its environmental footprint and energy costs. We’re proud to help preserve this beautiful building and support a local business that continues to inspire the Greenfield community.
