This is the second time I have used REI. I had an improperly installed shingle roof installed by a builder on a shed roof which had a pitch that wasn't right for a shingle roof. REI stripped off the old roof and re-installed a rubber roof which solved all the leaking problems. Next I had an improperly installed roof over a dining room bay window (again installed by the same builder) which was leaking into the dining room. From start to finish this was one of the best experiences hiring a contractor. Frank in sales was extremely responsive and very detailed. He didn't try to sell me on unnecessary items and he was very clear about the entire process. The workers and supervisors arrived on time to start the job and they did an outstanding job protecting my home, shrubs and lawn. You should get what you pay for and we did. Highly recommend and well deserved review! Excellent customer service before and after the installation process. The installation crew worked hard and fast. So be sure to inspect your property for nails after they pick up their dumpster. Luckily, I found a dozen missed nails on my driveway and around the perimeter of the house. Also take your own pictures for before and during each step of your roof removal and installation. House is 20+ years old and had started to show that. Frank came out to survey some siding damage as well as some rot on the farmer’s porch and exterior door. Frank was very helpful and provided options. He followed up with a quote. His approach and assurances secured the deal for us. In the end, we replaced an exterior door, rotted sections of the porch and siding on two sides of the garage, as well as various cracks/holes in the siding on other areas of the house.
