DO NOT use them for decks. Previous owners of our house used them to add on a deck and sunroom. Multiple things wrong. Sunroof not to code, support joists not properly secured and tilting after only 5 years, and did not properly re secure the siding after completion leading to leaks into the house. Poor quality and poor craftsmanship. Deck is only 5 years old and done very poorly.
We had a pergola put in 1 year ago, Sept 2024. The guys that came out were great and did a wonderful job. Move forward to August 2025 , my husband noticed standing water on one corner for the pergola when we tried to add lighting. At that time we put our project on hold and I contacted Outdoor living to advise of the standing water on August 4, 2025 at 8:37am , I was put into their Amins voicmail and then I followed up with an email the same day. Our salesperson Brian was good and worked with us on getting what we needed within the budget we had set. The quality of installation and materials selected of both new windows and siding was also very good. The unfortunate side of this transaction was either poor communications internally within their organization or careless mistakes made throughout the process (probably both). We had a new deck put in. They did a great job. We discussed changing the design from what our previous deck was. The outcome is beautiful with a whole new look of the staircase and more user friendly. They came back and finished some small issues we had within a timely manner. Only negative concern was that it was done a little later than anticipated when they said it would be done in winter. It was started after Easter. All in all I would recommend them, if you can swing the cost.
