The work replacing my roof was completed to my satisfaction. However, completion of the trim including the soffit and fascia was not. When the job was first completed, everything looked good to me, but when I got up on the ladder to finish the raw wood with primer, I noticed rodent damage had already begun. Rex, you called us out for a bid to install a metal roof on a 60 year old shed with a roof that was caving in and numerous handyman repairs done to it over the years. You quickly told me that the other contractors you had out had been upselling you on even more work given the state of the shed. I offered you a different roofing solution that given the state of your shed would not only save you over 10 thousand dollars, but would likely last longer than the alternative. I also gave you and option as requested for wooden fascia, soffit, and metal fascia wrap work. You proceeded with the roof and wooden fascia work, and DECLINED the soffit and metal wrap work. We scheduled and completed your job within ONE WEEK of the material arriving. It looks fantastic. You even agreed it looks great. Two weeks later you reached out telling me I had to come out and wrap the fascia because you had paid for it and it was not completed. I reminded you that you had declined the fascia wrap work. You then told me I had to come out and do soffit work because it was not completed. I reminded you you had also declined the soffit work. You then sent me a picture of decking boards of the underside of the roof and told me it was soffit work and I needed to come out and do it. I again had to correct you. At this point it was pretty clear that you were simply trying to take advantage of a good business and get extra work for free that you both digitally and verbally declined at the beginning. You then sent me an email telling me the fascia we installed was damaged and I needed to fix it. When I came out onsite to look at your shed, you showed me the spot you wanted the fascia fixed and ADMITTED it wasn't by us but because a squirrel chewed it out and broke it AFTER we did the work, and then proceeded to tell me it was because we had installed the wooden fascia incorrectly. I told you very respectfully that I felt as though you were taking advantage of me and I would not be replacing fascia that was broken from the inside by the squirrels, which coincidentally you feed on your property, as I can not squirrel proof wood. (There were 7-8 of them onsite during our inspection) It is always telling when someone has the vast majority of their reviews as lower than 5 stars. I wish you the best in your future endeavors and hope you will redirect your current efforts into helping others and bringing good into this world rather than what you are doing here. I had been working with Storm Group for the last year or so on an insurance claim for a new house & garage roof. The insurance made it very difficult, but in the end we got everything approved and they completed my roof in late April. I would recommend this place to anyone who asks. I truly appreciate Nick, Ryan and Breanna for their consistent work & diligence on this! Also thank you to Simon for his work on the day of install! Class act all around.
