This shingle repair project included removing and replacing damaged roofing materials and performing a full roof "tune-up." Our team replaced one damaged turtle vent with a new metal vent and installed fresh underlay and matching shingles to restore integrity and appearance. The scope also included sealing all roof flashings and exposed nail heads to extend the life of the roof and prevent future leaks.

Materials used included new shingle bundles, underlay, fasteners, caulk, and a replacement metal turtle vent. Decking was inspected during the repair to ensure a solid foundation before reinstallation.

We completed a full tear-off and installation of a new CertainTeed 5-Star Roofing System featuring Landmark® AR Class III impact-resistant shingles in Cobblestone Gray. The system includes ShadowRidge® hip and ridge shingles, WinterGuard® ice and water barrier, RoofRunner® synthetic underlayment, SwiftStart® starter shingles, and a CertainTeed ridge vent for enhanced protection and ventilation.

A white 2" x 2" painted aluminum drip edge was installed along the perimeter, with pipe flashings and rain caps custom-painted to match the new shingles for a seamless look.

For the low-slope back patio, we applied CertainTeed's Flintastic® SA cap sheet over PlyBase™ directly on the roof deck, finished with Mill-finished Gravel Guard edging.

For this asphalt shingle repair, our team removed and disposed of damaged 3-tab shingles and three broken plastic vents. After inspecting the decking for any underlying issues, we installed new underlayment as needed, followed by fresh 3-tab shingles and three durable metal vents. To finish, we performed a full roof tune-up, sealing all roof flashings and exposed nail heads to ensure a secure and weather-tight system.

Our team tackled a problem area where water intrusion was affecting a dead valley section of the roof. We began by carefully removing old flashing and a portion of the surrounding stucco to access the issue at its source. After inspecting the roof decking for any hidden damage, we installed fresh underlayment and new shingles to reinforce the roof’s integrity.

The key upgrade here was the installation of new dead valley flashing and counter flashing, designed to properly channel water away from vulnerable areas. Once the new system was in place, we repaired the stucco and painted it to match the original finish — blending durability with curb appeal.

To further prevent water buildup in the dead valley, we installed ~10 feet of new 6" gutters with gutter guards, a downspout, and a splash guard. These additions help redirect water efficiently, protecting both the roof and the foundation below.
