For this project, our team installed a high-performance flat roofing system using CertainTeed’s Flintastic self-adhered modified bitumen products — built to stand up to the elements and deliver long-term protection. We started with a full tear-off of the existing materials, followed by a clean install using Flintastic Nail Base, a self-adhered Mod Bit Cap Sheet, and FlintBond adhesive to create a strong, watertight seal.
We applied an ice and water shield at the transition to enhance protection where the sloped shingle roof meets the flat section. The sloped portions were finished with Owens Corning Supreme 3-tab shingles, tying everything together with a clean and cohesive look.
