I do wish I had known to size it a bit bigger both length and width than the actual dimensions of the space I was looking to cover but that is more on the installer potentially. Our awning looks great and is easy to operate. It doesn't provide us with as much shade as I had hoped due to the way the back of our house faces. I wish the sales person had focused on positioning and how beneficial the awning would be instead of on selling us extras (which we fortunately declined to purchase)! However, it does come in handy as something to stand under when it's raining and I let the dog out - a use I hadn't anticipated.
