Terry Cooch established TLC Home, LLC in 2008, spending hundreds of hours assisting people in making their homes comfortable and functional. In 2012, Terry earned ASP certification as a stager. TLC Home now solely provides staging services, however, Terry's prior work as a professional organizer has given her the insight to provide practical ideas in her staging consultations, lessening the stress and enabling homeowners to take on the duties required to get their home sold. She enjoys both hands-on occupied and vacant staging, and she never fails to get enthusiastic when her staged property sells on the first day for top dollar and often multiple offers! Terry's team has over 50 years of staging experience and can handle any job, no matter how big or small. This very small one-story rancher in Annapolis was staged by TLC Home Staging & Design under challenging conditions. The home was in poor condition, making it difficult for buyers to see past first impressions and recognize its potential.
In this case, the Realtor chose to cover the cost of staging, understanding that professional presentation would be key to generating buyer interest. TLC Home approached the project with a budget-conscious staging plan, carefully selecting essential pieces to define each space without over-investing.
The focus was on creating a clean, simple, and welcoming environment, allowing buyers to better understand how the home could function while minimizing distractions from its condition. Split Foyer – Stevensville, Maryland
This fully renovated split foyer in Stevensville was staged by TLC Home Staging & Design to balance a home that had been finished with a very cool, grey-and-white palette.
While the renovation brought a clean, updated look, the selections felt overly cold and lacked warmth, making it harder for buyers to emotionally connect with the space. TLC Home’s staging approach focused on softening and warming the overall presentation.
Through the use of warmer tones, layered textures, and thoughtfully selected furnishings, we were able to bring balance to the interior while still complementing the modern finishes. Strategic styling helped the home feel more inviting, comfortable, and livable—without competing with the renovation.
