Terry Cooch established TLC Home, LLC in 2008, spending hundreds of hours assisting people in making their homes comfortable and functional. In 2012, Terry earned ASP certification as a stager. TLC Home now solely provides staging services, however, Terry's prior work as a professional organizer has given her the insight to provide practical ideas in her staging consultations, lessening the stress and enabling homeowners to take on the duties required to get their home sold. She enjoys both hands-on occupied and vacant staging, and she never fails to get enthusiastic when her staged property sells on the first day for top dollar and often multiple offers! Terry's team has over 50 years of staging experience and can handle any job, no matter how big or small. This one-story home in a 55+ community in Centreville was prepared for market through a staging consultation by TLC Home Staging & Design, focusing on helping the sellers determine what furnishings should stay, what should go, and how to create a more cohesive presentation.
One standout recommendation? Queen Anne furniture is almost always a “go” when preparing a home for today’s buyers. By editing heavier traditional pieces and refining the remaining furnishings, the home immediately felt lighter and more current.
TLC Home coordinated the family room, kitchen dining area, living room, dining room, and primary bedroom, thoughtfully blending the sellers’ remaining furnishings with updated styling direction. The result was a more connected, welcoming presentation that still felt authentic to the home.

The staging focused on bringing warmth, contrast, and livability into the space through carefully selected furnishings and accessories. By layering lighter tones and balanced textures into the home, TLC Home helped shift the overall feel from dark and tired to more welcoming and approachable for buyers.
