TLC Home now solely provides staging services, however, Terry's prior work as a professional organizer has given her the insight to provide practical ideas in her staging consultations, lessening the stress and enabling homeowners to take on the duties required to get their home sold. She enjoys both hands-on occupied and vacant staging, and she never fails to get enthusiastic when her staged property sells on the first day for top dollar and often multiple offers! Every home brings its own personality to the staging process, and this 2,772-square-foot two-story home in Edgewater certainly had one.
The seller, an artist, left behind several distinctive and highly individual features that needed to remain in the home. Rather than competing with those elements—or adding more visual interest—TLC Home Staging & Design took the opposite approach.
We kept the staging intentionally neutral, clean, and modern.
Simple furniture lines, a restrained color palette, contemporary artwork, and carefully edited accessories created visual balance around the home's more unusual features. This allowed buyers to appreciate the home's creativity without becoming overwhelmed or distracted by it.
It's an important staging principle: when a home already has something bold to say, the staging doesn't need to speak louder. Sometimes restraint is what allows buyers to see the possibilities.
